I feel it here in California, too! I assume it will feel like this at least until next year, if not longer 😭
We had so many plans this year...
Me and DH finally made plans for our anniversary (August 27) in advance (back in February). Reserved a studio right on the beach!! Omgoodness a dream of ours. We had to cancel but they gave us a full refund two weeks after everything closed.
It's weird to imagine what Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas will look like this year.... definitely one to remember 😓
They wouldn’t rent the studio for the week?

I just went to OBX and all the houses were open for vacation rentals. We booked at Christmas of 2019

It sounds like you normally do a lot!! And all that a to do sounds amazing! :love is OH still on lockdown? Stuff has reopened here mostly and I would think you could still hike or go to the dog park and do the outdoor stuff maybe if you wore a mask? Since it’s outside. I just went hiking last week.

If it's fun to do with friends and gets either body or brain moving I usually like to do it!

OH is off and on. Our governor is SUPER wishy washy. :T The bigger problem is other people. Sure, like I CAN go to the dog park... But I will 100% have my dog get pet by someone who hasn't washed their hands today and is grubbing about without a mask. And I know they can have an antibody response to it.... One of my dogs is like 13. I don't need her catching it.

I can go hiking but... The people I like to do that with I can't. :( I usually go walking with some friends after sundown. We'll either walk to the late night ice cream parlor or go hiking through local parks, just talking about current events and life. I usually like to drive places with my BFF for daytime hikes... She lives with my sister who is severely immune compromised - it's hard for either of them to go anywhere right now...

So it's just so all over the place.

Next time I see people outside of my household will probably be for Mabon - September 21st. *sighs* By the time Halloween/Samhain hits it might be too cold to meet with people outdoors....

I need to start doing more!! I don’t do enough 😂🙈

And awww I’m sorry that sucks!! 😭😭 totally understandable though!! I don’t typically like dog parks much anyway cause I’ve encountered aggressive dogs and unruly ones and stuff there and it’s just not worth it to me risking it. But you seem like you’ve found a good one? Some are better than others. You could try being really mean and just tell them stay away from my dog!! Or put a muzzle on them and then people will think they’re mean and stay away on their own 😂🤣 I’m not above doing that LOL though at a park it may make the dog scared. Idk. I’m too nervous to actually tell people off but a muzzle or NOT FRIENDLY leash or in training harness or something is easy enough 😂🤣

If you want suggestions on things to do, I've got plenty. XD

Our dog park varies massively by when you go. I've learned the hard way - just go home when the dudebros and their muscle dogs that they don't bother to train/socialize are there. But there are plenty of days when it's good. It really depends on circumstances. I'm not muzzling my dogs. :p They'd put up with it but they would be really unhappy trying to interact with other dogs that way and then what's the point, really.....

This is actually a pretty good idea! 😍 :yesss:

Our dog park has great dogs all the time. There aren’t many that I don’t like

I have lots of ideas but never usually do them 😂🤣🙈

And haha yeah that’s a good idea!! We went once and there was this obviously aggressive dog but the owners would just grab him and be like “calm down Charlie” etc. and laugh 🙄 think they thought he was just playing or something or hype? Idk. But he was very clearly aggressive 🙄

And yeah, that’s understandable! Definitely not for everybody haha and you’re right that you want them to have fun. And I would only do it if totally necessary or whatever haha but just for the record, I would never just throw a muzzle on them. That would just stress them out. They have to muzzle trained and have it made into a fun experience which is actually pretty easy to do. When that’s done, most dogs don’t mind it and can still have fun, etc. and some people use it so their dog doesn’t eat things they shouldn’t too. It doesn’t need to be a bad thing. :)

But I’m not saying you have to do it or whatever cause I totally get it but I just wanted to clarify hahah

That said though, I do think I will muzzle train and crate train all future dogs even if I never end up using it just because it makes things way easier if they ever get injured or need to stay at the vet or whatever. Like for example our boy didn’t like the vet and hated having his nails done and it would have made some things a lot easier 😂🤣 cause he had to be muzzled a few times and had to wear the tight uncomfortable vet ones cause he was so big they didn’t really fit and it was super stressful. If he was trained with it, he could have worn a nice comfortable rubber basket one with lots of holes or whatever haha I actually did try training him with it somewhat but he learned to shove his face into it happily but I never made him wear it long.

Anyway, sorry for rambling! Just a huge dog/training nerd haha
