Covid-19-mare update.

It's all about Math folks.
Last week started with one elementary schooler popped positive and sent home with no official updates on what the district was doing for those in that kiddos class or the staff involved.
A couple days later (Friday) a staff member at both Jr & High school pop positive but, the official email didn't get sent till Tuesday(IIRC). Then Friday morning a official email saying a high school student was confirmed positive. Then over the weekend 2+ official emails about more positives and then special emails about the the staff who "could affect our kiddos" (if they had been in the building & not remote learning)...... Sunday night a phone call (robocall) cancelling jr. & High school for Monday and putting everyone in remote mode for at least Monday as an update would occur later Monday afternoon.... That can out and they extended the remote mode until Sept 25th or 28th -i forgot ATM- all extracurricular activities also cancelled including the football games. Homecoming was rescheduled for sometime in October (facepalm)....

Now today..... Just before 3 PM official email says highschool now has 3 staff & 1 student positive. Then at 5:09PM another update.... Oops it's 3 staff & 2 students at high school. Yet we still have many parents who are calling this a hoax on social media and IRL.

FWIW, -Just. Cultural FYI to the rest of the planet,Okie dokie?? In Texas "American football" is presumptively tied with god, the flag(s*) & apple pie. *= Both USA & Texas flag depending on who ya talk to or listen too.

So I find it vaguely ironic that it's at least one High school football coach that popped positive and parental/social rumour mill has at least one of the kids is a cheerleader that are offically positive with covid-19-mare and it's being *blamed*(by some voices on social media) on some resent away game??????? /Facepalm

So, I'm again left to wonder *aloud* in here, "Darwin Award Contenders????"

I am so ready as well...... Sadly...
Either way... Once these *Darwin Award Contenders* either "get learned" or "become award winners" and the rest of us struggle thru this foggy, messy, wierdness of earth changing pain...... Recall how long it took the last few regional epidemics (SARS, MERS, Ebola)? Or from your history books the Black plague/ Spanish flu..... It took quite alot of time to get to the other side of those marathon diseases. Sadly several european nations are quite aways ahead of our nation in how their actual leadership responded to and handled the pandemic.... Those nations are likely on the "backside" and headed towards their proverbial finish line in the next 6-12 months.

With all those who think/believe/talk as it's a hoax here in the US, we are - in my humble, realistic, & semi-logical estimate: (deep sigh) we could be anywhere from 3+ years (worst case) to ~18 months (idealistic case) to where places like Germany looks to be right now.

I have grown up with family who worked in DoD all my life so I really understand how slow gov't bureaucratic apperatus work..... And as such that's why my timeline guessing above is the way it is listed. It's all in the red tape. Nothing more complex then that I'm afraid to say.

I am human. I make more then my fair share of mistakes. I would gladly be willing to be wrong here.

Just like I wish that the facts born out from the genome project many years back proving that the concept of "race" is null and void. Alas those who believe they are thee master race are, for one reason or another so scientifically wrong. Sadly, I also know that a person convinced against their will, is of the same opinion still. (Deep sigh)
