I've had my Hickman line for 10 years... I am quite crafty at making due with limited supplies. Remember when Puerto Rico got hit by hurricanes? Some of my supplies from Accredo come from there so it was tough for a couple of months. It got to the point they made me use a solution other than sterile water to mix my meds and I was hospitalized because my body reacted badly to it.

I'm going to be making as many as my chubby little fingers can handle, lol. Send me or @IamRainey your address, we need to take care of our BYC friends just as much as those in the medical field. My husband has a heart condition and needs them as well and he's going to be sporting a chicken fabric mask if that's the only fabric I can find. lol ;)
Hahaha that's awesome that he will have a chicken fabric one

On the senior/disabled folks bus, I was the only one going to a grocery store. The driver wore a proper mask and put one on me -. Can you reuse them or do you have to toss after using it once?

He had something I really envied but wouldn't share, a tall bottle of anti viral, anti bacterial hand sanitizer.

I think the toilet paper run is a directly related to the government giving food and mres and water during times of crisis but no toiletries to go with the food they give. I guess the unprepared figures if anything the Gov will supply foods like mre
MREs are designed to slow you down, not give you diarrhea. Less poo for soldiers to leave in the field.

Fear leads to eventual anxiety and panic. It is quite contagious, but I feel fear is the wrong term to use. Caution and diligence might be better. But yes, people must not panic, that is where the snowball effect really takes hold.
My English is obvious not good enough to get the finesses of the meaning of fear. Thanks for correcting.

I was thinking in my respond that the fearless often take too little action to avoid other people. Some of them just don't give a da** about the people who are not so healthy and fearless as they are.

Like a few students I encountered yesterday in the grocery store. They were chatting (meeting friends) and stood in the ‘alley’ with the veggies.:barnie

You can reuse them but there's a certain amount of time. I can't remember the time frame, maybe someone else knows? That's what I like about the fabric ones being washable though!

Make him one with a puppy-dog nose & tongue on it. You applique (or Sharpie-draw) it on one side before you sew them together. Someone did them for my nephew's cancer ward (he's a survivor!) years ago - and they were a big hit! I'm going to do some for our hospital.

This is a fantastic idea!!! Something lighthearted in all of this and I just happen to have a vinyl cutter and plenty of heat transfer vinyl to apply to the masks! You're awesome! :highfive:
