1) Elections fall under state jurisdictions.
2) There has to be evidence of an irregularity. Fevered dreams and temper tantrums don't meet that bar.
3) The only charge so far is that the Gov of PA exceeded his authority in extending a deadline set by their legislature. When and IF their courts don't resolve it, that particular case MAY go to the US Supreme Court IF the Supreme Court accepts it, but the votes in question still probably wouldn't materially change the PA outcome.
4) Without PA's electoral votes Biden would still win.

Zen based, focused meditation can also act as a external stimulus reducer to help get closer & eventually into deep REM sleep.
Tai Chi works amazingly well, too! That's often the only way I can settle my racing mind at night. That's one of the really awful things about this virus, at least for me. It's hard to float when my brain fogs so badly that my space dissipates. It's getting better, but Holy Cow, this is nasty!

Sooooo sorry for what you're going through, MROO. I'm glad side sleeping gives you some increased oxygenation. Take care of yourself!

Does getting some steam do something to ease your breathing and clear out the fogginess? We have a steam shower I can sit in but, lacking that, you can put your head over a bowl of steamy water with a towel over the whole affair to contain the moist hot air. I also find sitting in a hot bath can sweat some of that stuff out of me and clear my sinuses.

Do you have any inhalers? A doctor can prescribe a steroid inhaler which will reduce any respiratory inflammation. They've become pretty standard treatment for Covid and I believe (NO medical qualifications at all, mind you) that using them early can help you stay ahead of the virus' progression.

Thinking of you and sending my best.
Thanks - All good suggestions. I do have a steroid inhaler, and it helps. Doc said to use it every 6-8 hours, regardless of "as needed," at least through this week. I have a vaporizer in the room, but it doesn't seem to be doing much. A hot bath definitely helps. That's sometimes the only thing that gets me through the night.

Today marks exactly one week since my exposure - and five days since symptoms started. While I still don't feel well and I'm sure I'm still shedding the virus (no contact with kiddos) I think I may have turned a corner. Last night was the easiest, so far - not "easy," but "easier." I'll take it!

I hope this doesn't all come off as a pity party. I'm not wallowing ... just trying to share. There is so little information on the course of this mess that it's hard to find information. Both my doctor and the testing facility said that there is no "norm." It's different for everyone. In the words of my awesome pharmacist, the reason we can't find any reliable information on how this beast progresses is because there simply isn't any! How's that for scary?

Our daughter just tested positive. She has been sick for about a week. She's 32 and has all the symptoms to some extent except the loss of taste and smell.
Prayers for a quick recovery! At the risk of sounding crude and indelicate, warn her to pay close attention to signals from her bowels. She won't get a second warning!

Yes, the brain fog is the worst. Feels like your thoughts are being pulled through mud trying to find them!
Sending positive energy and thoughts your way!🥰

I am impacted in several ways.

Personally, I have had to go to extremes to avoid catching it. My kids were switched over to online courses. We did these to protect my wife that had cancer. She passed away last weekend. She was in an ICU was that was becoming increasingly crowded by COVOD-19 and they medical staff clearly wanted to free up a room my wife occupied to treat those patients. The medical staff was / is investing a lot of resources into the COVID-19 patients and expressing concern they could not keep up with what is coming. When my wife passed, it quickly became apparent we would not be able to hold normal services because it would force many vulnerable relatives from all over the USA increasing their odds of exposure and moving the bug around. We also hit a wall where local venues have begun restricting size of social gatherings. We are looking to postpone services until next summer.

At work my work crew has been split into two units that overlap very little in time when they are on the job. We wear the damn masks and I personally run out those that are unable to comply. Several of my crew have pre-existing conditions or a spouse that does so they must be protected. I cannot just go out an snag someone off the unemployment line to replace the vulnerable folks of I loose them. I be a real butt munch if I thought I could. We have had problem with student workers that kept coming to work even when they were sick because they needed then paycheck. They infected others, thankfully with something that was not COVID-19.

Most of the farmers I have worked with have had an exceptionally good year that is attributed to the pandemic, although none produce commodity products and most market direct to the consumer. Several of those same farmers have lost people they know, or at least had a lot of health issues causing loss of man-hours.

The real fun for this pandemic is about to start in the rural area where I live. There are a lot of people here that will have to witness a lot of losses before they change their ways. Until then they a participating in the spread of something that otherwise would be fairly easy to subdue without undue damage to the economy. The problem is it is an all or none situation with many folks.
Really sorry to read about the death of your wife centrarchid.:hugs Particulalry distressing when it comes to not being able to make the funeral arrangements you would like.:hugs

It certainly DOES NOT come off as a pity party. It's information and it's good to hear that you feel like you're at least making progress.

As your pharmacist says, it has different progressions for different people. Some have a gastro-intestinal path. Some have a respiratory path.

DO keep us informed. We're all pulling for you and your family!
