Shad, idk how it is where sour is but where I live you're not allowed to get a test unless you have symptoms. Our house has two people living with someone who has been diagnosed positive and been unmasked around us in the days leading up to the diagnosis and we're not allowed to get tested unless we develop a fever or loss of taste or severe cough, etc.
I can't imagine it's too different where sour is.
Same here. DS' work required a second test (clear) for him to return to work. He got a doctor's note, instead and has been happily hiding in his company vehicle all week - all by his lonesome. He jokes that he's trying ti figure out how to keep a select few of his colleagues socially distanced after this mess clears up, some. Not everyone ... just two or three ... ummm ... particular persons ... He's considering putting KoolAid into a Cough syrup bottle and swigging it when he's around them. He figures they'll think he's sick and stay away. Smart Kid!

The thing about this covid crap, Is ever since it came to the united states I have been extremely cautious. I have been wearing my mask whenever I go anywhere. I sanitize my hands before getting in my car, Maybe once a week I would run to a store. By that I mean a gas station or our only grocery store. This is a town of about 2500 people. We didn't get our first case until about June! I stocked up on lots of stuff right in the begining, all of my co-workers thought I was nut for being so cautious. They all continued to go without masks and go shopping out of town where the cases were way higher and I'm the one who gets it????????????????? WHAT THE HOLLY BAD WORD!!!!!! They have all tested neg! They are all shocked that I have it, all they keep saying is, "but you were so careful!" I'm scared and and even more terrified for my DH. With his COPD, if he gets it, things could be really bad for him. My grand kids were here Sun night so they were exposed and so was my daughter. I'm a mess right now, all I want to do is cry!
Hugs and Prayers ... :hugs:hugs:hugs

Oh, hispoptart, your frustration is so clear and so understandable!

Be calm. Many people who are infected find that, while not fun, the virus is endurable. I have a local friend whose only indication was not being able to smell or taste. She still can't -- that symptom seems to be able to persist for up to 3 months -- but she's tested negative a couple times now.

The important thing is to isolate from your husband. Mask! And he should mask too.

Is he on oxygen? If he's breathing from a tank that's clean, virus-free air. If he isn't, perhaps his doctor would prescribe it until it's clear that you're not shedding virus.
I'll second the "Not fun but endurable" quote! Been there, Done that. The rest of Rainey's suggestions are good ones, especially the oxygen one. Distant hugs again!

It certainly doesn't discriminate.
On a lighter note, do you live near Craig or Steamboat Springs?
I know it is bad but at least you live in awesome country.

I finally finally finally finished my candles. ;o;
3 citrus and pine, 3 peppermint, 3 lavender, 3 vanilla spice and 2 orange peel spell candles.

Tomorrow is cocoa bombs and cleaning skulls. D will be chopping up the rabbits he processed today for sausage making later. They have to be deboned and cut into chunks, frozen on a sheet, then bagged so the chunks don't stick together and can be used frozen because mostly frozen meat is best for grinding.

I think I have to renegotiate my weekly art and b**** with a friend I have because I have been art-ing all week now. We do it via videochat. I may still participate in the video chat tho without showing much art, because I will probably be de-fleshing a rabbit skull (especially lower mandibles) for those earrings I'm making.

In the meantime... I'm very tired so it seems to be bedtime.

Thanks, we're hanging n there. It doesn't seem real. We haven't gathered and grieved, so it's not registering fully. In my family, when someone passes, we all gather. We cry. We laugh. We eat. We do it all over again. Without that support, I just can't wrap my head around the fact that my Dad is gone. I keep wanting to call him with a question. .I still have his voice on my answering machine. If anyone had any suggestions on how to preserve it forever, I'm listening!
I may be able to off er advice. Do PM me ... We can de-construct it to see what your option(s) may be.
