Went to an area known for their outdoor Christmas display last night. Got there early just as the lights came on. Everyone masked and not too crowded. By the time we left it was a mob scene and no longer comfortable. We went into a large building housing the gingerbread house display/contest. No limit on numbers, too warm, too crowded. I told the Princess, "We need to get out of here." She agreed, and we bailed. It was nice to do 'something' but became uncomfortable. Pa. is closing indoor dining tomorrow.
I don't know how far you are from the Herr's Potato Chip Factory, in Nottingham, PS, but it's a totally AWESOME light display ... totally outdoors. You never leave the comfort and safety of your own car.
Herr's has been doing this display for years. The employees sponsor a tree, and I swear they ust all strive to outdo each other in the most pleasant, beautiful way they can. It's like driving through a Christmas fairyland ... and it's FREE! My kids know that we never get out of there without doing at least three loops of the campus (yes, it's that big a display!) and we always go more than once. A couple of times, we've been through there right after a snow ... and it was so magically beautiful it left me in tears.
As a bonus ... There's a little restaurant, The Nottingham Kitchen and Creamery, right across the street. They have great take-out & ice cream!

A friend in CA is third from the end. He is disappointed. He was planning on getting it as soon as available so he could fly back to MO in April to go turkey hunting. Looks like he won't be hunting here till 2022.
DD has a friend who is stuck in Mexico after visiting her grandparents this summer (Her parents are both nurses, so it was "safer" to let her spend the summer at her grandparent's isolated farm. She's still "safe," but the virus is raging all around her and she can't get home!

PA is closing, too? Based on recent behavior, that means DE, directly east of me, will likely follow suit. Baltimore City is already shut down for nearly everything, including outdoor dining. That means Baltimore County won't be far behind . That leaves one "semi-open" county on the on the south & west sides and PA closed to the north. We're probably next ...

I'm so mad. I was almost done with the wire wrapped bone earrings ya'll were so excited for - all wrapped and ready to paint the teeth gold. I go get my paint and brush. I come back to my big dog EATING ONE OF THE EARRINGS.

She's fine, btw. She didn't eat any metal, the bone was sterilized and she chews her bones really well. She's just locked in her crate now for eating something she knew wasn't for her. The earring is not so fine - half of it is missing into her tummy.

Time to start over with a new skull. -_-

Look at this. What a bad dog.

Bummer....but....can still sell/give as a single earring.
Whose jaw is that?

I plan on keeping it until I have a similarly broken match - as in a replacement for the one on the left that has a broken right. No skin off my back to put it in a jar for a few months. I just have to start all over with a new mandible for what I'm making because a pair was asked for.

It's a rabbit skull, about 14 weeks. I have more I can work with - we have a whole litter we've been processing this week - but I'm still mad at my doggo because I was almost done and it takes a few days to clean/dry them and now it's gonna be late probably. 😡 Also she knows better.

I am BAD! I made some chocolate truffles for Christmas gifts. Only I substituted milk chocolate for dark chocolate. DON'T DO IT! They're sooooo soft that even frozen you can't pick one up. Your fingers just sink into it.

However, all is not lost. It makes a good sweet dip to go with salty, crunchy potato chips. :thumbsup
