We call my youngest dog Goober. The one who likes to climb in your lap and lay his head on your shoulder, hates when people wear hats, will pile 13 toys on your chair in hope that THIS will be the toy you THROW and won't stop fetching his ball to bark at strangers, but will still bark (he runs with the ball in his mouth back to you while barking).

I don't see that that's a new approach. ...tho I wouldn't be surprised to hear that I'm misinterpreting.

Eventually, (key word) herd immunity is what will protect people and return things to authentic reality. Until then, along with or enhanced by vaccine-stimulated immunity, we need to practice immediate avoidance strategies in an effort to resume public behaviors like reopening schools at the earliest opportunity.

I think that's pretty much the strategy most countries are pursuing. Meanwhile, Sweden which committed to the herd immunity concept from the start and failed to shut down has pretty much declared it a big mistake, no? What am I missing?
What you are missing is the statistics.

Lets take the UK to avoid any partisan bias.
Yesterdays figures from link. 1,153 deaths per million population.
This is despite 3 lockdowns/tiers whatever not to mention the destruction of jobs, unemplyment, mental health etc etc.
Yesterdays figures from Sweden. 914 deaths per million population.

One would have thought given the reported irresponsibility of the Swedish approach that their deaths per million would be far far greater than the UK considering all the measures that the UK have attempted to implement.
But they're not higher are they? They're no even equal to.
I'll let you draw your own conclusions from the USA figures.

I find it's more reliable to look at the numbers rather than listen to a few cherry picked politicians.
I would also point out that so far at least none of the vaccines stop you getting Covid. What they will do hopefully is decrease the severity of the condition and reduce deaths. It needs to be born in mind that many of those once vaccinated will no longer bother with the recommnded precautions and the virus is likely to spread faster.

NO! No heavy sunshine... Bright bright shade or very dappled/filtered sun!
Okay - THAT explains a lot. I've gotten several plants started over the years, but they've never lasted very long, Now I know why. The little beasties brew like crazy until they had a handful of spikes about four inches high. At that point, they moved outside. They faded quickly, once out-of-doors. I tried putting them in pots, leaving them in their pots and planting them right into the ground, with no luck at all. From what you've said, it was where I was putting them ... too much sun! The next pot will stay on my sunny, covered porch. They'll be completely outdoors, but brightly shaded most of the day. Maybe that will make the difference.
Ok, bear with me...I'll pull the info and pics...
:pop

When you say bright shade are you talking fuscia level shade? The guideline I've always heard for fuscias was "can you read a page of text?".
Ha
I have to go out in bright direct sunshine to read the newspaper anymore
