Covid is affecting me by seeing a disturbing rise of medical tyranny. Canada, NZ, Australia, have gone mad in terms of medical tyranny. They will take your freedom of travel, business, assembly, and speech all in the name of protecting us.

Medical tyranny isn't a real thing. Masks and manditory vaccines and quarantine have been around and enforced for hundreds of years including in the USA. Not a single legal action taken has no basis in historical events and it is all upheld by law. You're just dogwhistling. If you don't like it you are welcome to leave for somewhere that doesn't have a history of over 100 years of enforcing public safety.

Personally I'm glad to live in a country that's doing anything to protect the public even if it's not enough. I'd love to live in NZ. They have no masks and almost no cases.

Yeah, I'm not wearing four masks at once. I'm sticking with one. I like being able to breathe at least somewhat normally.
The most I'll do is wear a mask under my plague doctor mask. Two masks, one of which is cloth-covered cardboard. Nothing more.

It can be. It definitely can be. It may or may not be the case here, but where there can be corruption, there can be tyranny.
It's one of my bigger fears -- that I'm going into a field that will degrade farther and farther until we've lost sight of the original purpose of medicine: Helping people.

Nobody is obligated to serve you in a business if you represent a health risk. That's because the law for over 100 years. Calling it medical tyranny just shows which news sources you get your buzzwords from.

Perhaps "tyranny" was the wrong word. However, enforcing a policy of wearing four masks at once is not okay.

Four masks. That's four times as many masks being purchased. Four times as much money. And with so many being bought, they'll become scarcer and scarcer, and their price will rise, resulting in more profit.
Maybe I'm just cynical, but the idea of making people wear more masks just sounds like an idea to make more money. Maybe it isn't tyranny, but it still isn't right.

Dr was on the news saying the fit and 2-3 layers. 2 bad fitting only makes the fit worse
