Check deaconess.com for instructions, seems pretty easy to me. I need to find 1/4" flat elastic. I have lots of fabric and thread.

Walmart usually has the elastic. Joann's should have it as well.

I'm in Illinois. My college classes are online now, I can't work, and the public schools I was supposed to observe/volunteer in for school are all closed. I went out and got six chicks to keep me company at home.

2 layers of tight woven cotton fabric. I think batting would be too hard to breathe through.

Make one with the cotton batting and wear it for awhile. Then you will knowhow it works.

Spray the truck drivers with the can of Lysol you wear on a necklace around your neck.


I'd guess the truck drivers don't mingle with too many people on the road....just don't hug them and you should be fine.

Last week management came out with new covid-19 paperwork every driver has to fill out, we have a soap foamer thingy on wheels I dragged into our office and was going to put a sign on it 'for driver decontamination' but didn't dare put the sign on cause I figured I could get fired for misslableing it, I still told them though after they signed in, hey new paperwork to fill out and when you get done with that I have to spray you down with this lol.
And no they don't mingle much, some do go to many other plants other states, some local drivers just pick their farms never see the farmer, deliver their milk and go home. Farmers are pretty worried also.
I'm still pretty worried.

The hits just keep coming. I think I'm giving up on social distancing and isolation and just going straight to hibernation.
I am a substitute teacher with the public school system. School is out pretty much for the rest of the year, so I have no job.
I've been subbing for a looooong time, so I have a good following and work every day, but since sub hours are considered fluid, we get no unemployment benefits.
My summer job is closed indefinitely and could well go under from this. And ... big surprise ... nobody's hiring!
My ex just informed me that he's been laid off indefinitely. Now there will be no alimony or child support.
With no income, I'll lose my house.
I'd say, "I want my Mommy," but at this rate, I may just get what I ask for ... moving back in, kids, dogs, cats and all ... but no chickens. They're not allowed, there. I'm trying really, REALLY hard to stay positive ... but it's getting really, REALLY hard to do!
At least we're all fairly healthy ... for now.

In my county we have our first case that was diagnosed on Friday. So far so good.

That virus is going to spread like fire in FL. Lots of people in nursing homes. Stay safe.
