Then remove the requirement. That’s my preference. I don’t think it’s fair to fire someone because of a requirement that wasn’t a requirement when they were hired.
The requirement was there when we were hired, The requirement is to be vaccinated against all communicable diseases. Covid wasn't around when we were hired, but it is now and it is a communicable disease.

Because the C-19 vaccine is very very likely to keep you out of the hospital or morgue!!!
And vaccinated people appear to be contagious for a shorter time.
And the more folks who are vaccinated, the fewer variants are going to develop.
And the cost of those hospitalizations is carried by all of us.
And because it's the right thing to do.

Sorry, but these statements are not factual.
Especially this statement: "And vaccinated people appear to be contagious for a shorter time"
And this: "And the more folks who are vaccinated, the fewer variants are going to develop."
This is what the media is portraying, but it's not real life.
Variants happen because viruses mutate to survive - especially SARS based viruses. There are no tests to determine if you have the original or variant at this point.

There's as much clarity as possible, in an evolving situation. We want all the answers NOW, and it's not possible to look further ahead than we are, with this new disease, and vaccines. What we do know is that vaccinations save lives and prevent most severe illnesses and deaths, a wonderful thing.
I had a 'break out' C-19 infection in August, six months after vaccination, and very happily didn't land in the hospital. Booster shots appear to be a very good thing!
