I don't know about @h2oratt's reason but this sort of information is interesting since there are so many questions about how much "protection" a person gets from the vaccines vs having Covid and if that protection wanes over time.

It would be useful if there was data showing when people who had it twice got the first case and the second, time between and if the second case was the apparently much more infectious Delta variant.

Also if someone was vaccinated which vaccine they had and how long after they got the vaccine did they get their "breakthrough" case.

It is really hard to make anything of how "bad" a person's second case was vs how bad the case was of someone who got a breakthrough case (ie how much protection each gave) since one really has no idea how bad a case they would have if they hadn't been vaccinated.
That is exactly why I was interested. My yoga teacher got it , then got vaccinated. Then she said she got it again. But 5e test was negative so second time just a cold or flu.

Were you all tested for Delta? That variant is 32-1000x more contagious than the alpha, beta, or gamma variants that we may have experienced since early March 2020. Also JnJ is kinda shit compared to Moderna (not the official stance of the CDC, LOL)
Do they automatically test what variant you have?

: Do COVID-19 tests check for the delta and other variants?

A: There are no authorized COVID-19 antigen or molecular tests that specifically report the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 delta variant. Currently, COVID-19 tests are designed to check broadly for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, including the SARS-CoV-2 delta variant. It is common for all viruses to change and mutate over time, resulting in different virus strains. The FDA works closely with test developers to identify potential impacts of virus mutations on FDA authorized COVID-19 tests and help ensure there is minimal impact on test performance.
Local, state, and federal public health agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, track the SARS-CoV-2 virus variants so we can understand which strains of the virus are spreading.
Health care providers treat patients who have COVID-19 based on the patient’s symptoms and not based on the strain of virus. For more information on treatment options see Know Your Treatment Options for COVID-19 and discuss your symptoms with a health care provider

When all this started I was super paranoid to say the least! Took all necessary precautions, masks, sanitizers, OCD about cleaning and disinfecting, didn't let anyone come in my office, and on and on...I still got it, tested positive the first time the Tuesday before Thanksgiving 2020. It was like a never-ending cold for 2 weeks, achy, REALLY tired, and a constant low grade fever, then one morning I woke up and felt better. The second time I got it I literally only had a fever for one day, felt a little crappy for a couple days but was all in all fine. I am not vaccinated and don't plan to get vaccinated. I personally think from my own personal experience that my body did build up antibodies that helped me kick it way faster the second time. Both times I had it my husband also had it but had no symptoms besides what he described as some sinus pressure. This is just my experience and what I think.
