you're wrong Shad, I read every one and thank you for sharing. Information is empowering, what's happening in other countries will be happening here. I cringe everytime someone says quit politicizing when someone tries to share something important. We don't need our hands held and told there there all's going to be alright. We need information to properly protect ourselves and to prepare for times ahead. So again, thank you.

Yes, yes, yes! Important decisions made on the basis of what we want to be true only set us up for disaster. George Santayana said, "those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." That's as true now as it was then and it includes what we can't observe happening somewhere else and learn from.

Hard information, reflection, sincere discussion and scrupulous honesty with ourselves is the only thing that will get us out of this medical emergency and this emergency to our democracy.

Good morning Covid-19 thread. Whew! A lot of venting going on. Not sure what part of New England you are in @Rainwing, but the only "shelter-in-place" order is in Connecticut starting tomorrow. Here in Massachusetts we have been asked to not congregate in large crowds and essential businesses are still open. The positive virus cases have jumped from a little over 300 to 525 this morning. Sadly, there have been 2 deaths. However, the increase in positive cases can be partly attributed to the fact that they are doing more testing. Still, our Governor is not supportive of a total shelter-in-place order. Since I haven't done any in-store shopping in a month already, I will be spending the next few days trying to pick up as much as I can to re-stock. In the meantime, I've been working on prepping my garden for Spring planting. This and tending to my chickens keeps me busy. One thing I did about a month ago when this was getting some press, I purchased enough exercise videos so I could continue my exercise classes I would normally get at the Senior Center. My point: we may have to deal with this "new normal" for longer than originally anticipated. SO, look for ways to work in what was your normal daily routine before this hit and try to make a schedule or list to help you adjust. A normal routine helps keep us calm because we learn what to expect what is next. This is comforting. Add a little something you do just to make yourself feel better, like polishing your nails, or a facial. Try a new recipe, or perhaps re-decorate one of the rooms in your house / apartment to brighten the look. Take walks if you are able and just de-compress. This is a very stressful situation we are all in. Don't let it consume you. Take care everyone, and stay healthy.

This is a very good take on how to cope with this virus and being self isolated. The half full glass. Thank you

I'm not Cappy but I've made them all by myself....all 5'1" of me. Ratchet straps and the side of a truck tire so they don't get away from you while arching the cattle panel.
Ah yes, hubby helped me on the curving part. I think he's just scared I will build more coops.

I'm going to start lightly working out just to get the happy hormones to stick around.

Being cooped up stinks... Now I know how chickens feel when they're locked up 😂
I was just reading this earlier.
I screenshot it for someone I know.

What are their recommendations for keeping critters out of it? The local wild things usually get 85% of what I grow.

I eat most of the wild things and the dog chases some off. My biggest problem are the Chipmunks..dog ignores them and I don't eat them. :gig

I need to figure out how to do them I want ones for my meat chickens.

My coop shows how I made mine. I have 4 Hoop coops
