My father-in-law had a heart attack this morning. The hospital in Michigan is keeping him until at least Monday. As I understand it, it was fairly mild but the blood markers are going the wrong way.

Its really weird hearing your own heart pump blood. It sounds squishy and gross. You get to lay down the whole time but it takes about 40 minutes. Hubby said it was about 35 for me. He had to wait in the waiting room. My tech said they didnt get a christmas party and they arent getting paid tome and a half for working today. What a load of chicken poo

Should be more. My company gives double time for Thanksgiving...closed today.

Our contract had 8hrs holiday straight time for all full time workers. If you worked the holiday it was an additional double time and a half for all hours worked. So if you worked 12 hrs on the holiday 8 hrs were triple time and a half and 4 hrs at double time and a half.

My hubbys work gave them thursday and friday as a holiday since Christmas is on a saturday this year. If he had to work he would have got time and a half both days. Instead he was paid not to work both days.

I when I worked in the hospital we only got special pay on the holiday. Christmas Eve isn’t a holiday per se. I always volunteered until my daughter got old enough to know what day it was.
