Morning everybody.
  • CDC shortens quarantine time for exposed healthcare workers
  • FDA approves new Merck antiviral for use
  • Flights cancelled due to Covid surge
  • Omicron patients have symptoms similar to parainfluenza with no loss of taste or smell as with other covid varients

Having my echocardiogram done today. Hopefully Santa brings me some good news. My dads fruit came from Florida. Gotta call the pharmacy to see if I can eat the grapefruit but so far just snacking on the clementines and oranges
Saying a prayer that the EC test results are good 👍

I have seen people crump pretty fast but 90% SpO2 doesn't sound like he is ready to be intubated
I thought about this some more overnight. I have seen a lot of people with his condition admitted to a Progressive Care Unit with high flow O2. (Hopefully intubation was just mentioned as a possibility BUT I wasn't there.) I suspect they kept him there longer to see if he was going to get better of worse. I have seen people with a 97% SpO2 walk across the room and collapse. (It can make people weak as kittens.)

I was at 90% in November 2020, they were telling people to stay home until it dropped below 90%... because hospitals were overflowing.... a couple times I had troubles breathing and thought about going to the hospital.. but people weren't walking out and I didn't have anyone to feed the poultry.

But I managed to feed soaked feed to the poultry and they had snow for moisture . Had to rest constantly, took all morning to feed usually an hour.

I hope all goes well. I will be thinking of you.

There are a lot of medications used off label for different things. For instance, people with chronic urticaria often use zantac and other similar meds for their hives if normal meds don't work because they have an antihistamine in them. I used an anti malaria drug for mine for a while, because it helps with the hives and not because I had malaria. It happens with a lot of meds.
I have dermatographism/chronic idiopathic urticaria- interesting!

:celebrate:wee:thumbsup:clap:yesss:
I am so glad you're home.
Its really weird hearing your own heart pump blood. It sounds squishy and gross. You get to lay down the whole time but it takes about 40 minutes. Hubby said it was about 35 for me. He had to wait in the waiting room. My tech said they didnt get a christmas party and they arent getting paid tome and a half for working today. What a load of chicken poo :th

I had it done. They found out it wasn't my heart but my blood *sigh*. Yes, they should get double time what a shame.
