Might be Covid? I've survived this pandemic so far reasonably unscathed however, I may have a breakthrough case. My only noticeable symptom has been really bad headaches that are subsiding so I just blamed them on stress. I rarely get headaches and then primarily as an allergic reaction to something. DD called me this morning concerned over a rash that was coming on pretty rapidly. My first reaction was measles, however, she is fully vaccinated and up to date on all of her shots. I did some more googling and discovered that Covid can present as a rash in various degrees and forms. One of those rashes looks suspiciously like measles. She's getting a rapid test later this morning and miraculously I get to pick up some rapid tests from my local Walmart this afternoon. We are all vaccinated and boosted. Otherwise no symptoms so fingers crossed it's just very mild and goes away quickly. Anyone else with mild or different symptoms? No fever at all.

A rash and high fever was reported in a young girl when omicron was first discovered in South Africa. The girl recovered quickly however. Thats my only inkling

Good news, DD tested negative on the rapid test. Bad news, not sure what she has. Apparently there have been adult breakthrough cases of measles. Very rare, but still a possibility. Her primary care doctor pondering, hoping it’s just some random, run of the mill rash. Fingers crossed 🤞.
So sorry to hear about you and your DD being sick. I hope it is nothing serious and gets well shortly.

I would think her doctor would know if it was measles or not. Its a pretty specific rash. Not sure how old your daughter is or how long shes had it but it could just be that: a rash. Or it could be shingles. Or ringworm. Without seeing it its hard to tell. But I'm sure her doctor will know :thumbsup

Do you know if it itches like hell and feels like a punch if scratched?

My son in law has just been exposed about an hour ago. He hasn't had it yet, unless he had it without symptoms. His work is HVAC a nd got a call to change a furnace filter. He entered a house where the woman acted a bit weird, staying on the other side of the room with a mask on (that part isn't necessarily weird) but just acted off too. She volunteered that she had covid last week, tested positive for it over the weekend. She said nothing to worry about, she tested negative today (Monday). :he

Son in law knew better but then!!! heard a man coughing in the room above him.

Son in law left. Protocol is for him to call his company's office and let them know. Actually, protocol is for the office to ask the customer about such thing before he gets there but they didn't. The customer might have lied but it was obvious from what the company said that they didn't ask.

Anyway, they said, oh, don't worry about it; you're vaxxed.

So now they know he isn't.

They said, just go get tested. He confirmed they meant today.... like a half hour after the exposure. :th

He explained about the value of that. Nicely, he doesn't do not nice.

They said, take sick days for now and we will figure out what to do. He gets TWO sick days per year.

He is at least moderate to high risk from age and health profile, possibly very high or extremely high risk.

Hopefully, he didn't get too much exposure and/or the preparation measures and/or post-exposure protocol helps enough. Hopefully, he can keep his job.
