Coronavirus, Covid 19 Discussion and How It Has Affected Your Daily Life Chat Thread

I had a minimal reaction to the first shot. The second one pretty much laid me flat for three days. Doctor told me it was probably because I had already had Covid. Apparently the first shot primed my defenses and the second sent them into full-blown attack mode. Yay. Not. Still, I'd do it again. My guess is that we all will, once this becomes endemic, like the flu. At least, by then, we'll likely have treatments and weaker variants. {{ ... sigh ... }}
I don’t understand how what you answered had anything to do with my question.

My hubby says that ever since we started living together that theres a little fairy that folds the clothes and pays the bills. We also have a poltergeist that leaves cabinets open and lights on...
Does it eat all your goodies in the middle of the night? We have one of those.

I am fully vaccinated. Most of us in the family are. And to those worrying about symptoms, err on the side of caution. Things can go downhill really fast. My aunt was fighting a mild case, and was nearly done with it when pneumonia set in. My cousin, her daughter, is a nurse and took her to the hospital in the early afternoon. She was gone by midnight.
I work in the public school system. They're sending students and teachers home every day. I'm terrified to go back to work, tomorrow, but bills have to be paid ...
So sorry. :hugs

Because it's a fake excuse. The greater public good is a higher need. You do not have a right to infect others because of what you believe or do not believe. Nobody is telling anyone not to believe as they do either. Believe in the flying spaghetti monster if you want, just do not bring others harm as a result.
It's a good thing we live in a constitutional republic, where individual rights matter, where the minority is protected with rights, unalienable constitutional protected individual rights. that which cannot be given away or taken away
Mob rule, can not take away individual minority rights.

Can you imagine a place where those in power that follow science and statistics and say, masks have made no statistical difference in transmission , no data to back it up, so we ban wearing masks, if you prefer wearing a mask, too bad, science says no good, banned from wearing one.
I'd personally prefer living in our diverse society that say's it's up to you, the individual, your choice, you have a say, if you think wearing a mask will protect you and your business then institute a mask mandate, that is how it is in free states, opposite is well.... the opposite...

I haven't been on this thread for a looooong time, but since Covid's back in my life, I'm back here again. Omicron has been playing tag-team through my family since before Christmas. It took my aunt, last week - the dearest, sweetest woman I've ever been blessed to know. My 86 yo stepdad swore he had a cold and a minor sinus infection, until my Mom caught it and had to get a Covid test before the doctor would see her ... SURPRISE! That makes eighteen of "us" in three weeks - and no one caught it from each other except two spouses and one family of four. It's everywhere, friends. PLEASE be careful!
Wow! I’m so sorry to hear that. It has definitely been making its rounds. I’ve had 8 family members that I know of in the last month (PA, FL, AR, and VA) who have caught it (5/8 fully vaxxed)
