I think that's a big part of it. First time I tried a brussel sprout (my father-in-law boiled some), I had to stop myself from instantly spitting it out. It was NASTY - bitter and pungent. But I kept seeing them in recipes, on tv cooking shows, so I decided... I'd buy some. I bought all of 3 sprouts. And... they weren't as terrible as I remembered? Even hubby didn't spit them out. Then I tried them roasted with bacon and it was like the heavens parted and angels began singing. Now I eat them roasted, pan fried, baked in a dip, raw in a slaw... lesson learned, NEVER boil brussel sprouts!
.......
Um, yeah...I'll stay over here and cheer from the side lines for you. 😝
There a great many foods I've gotten over my initial dislike of. BR?? Nope.

Doctors in Northern Italy aren't treating those over 60 so they can save the younger people.
They just don't have the equipment to treat.
They have run out of cemetery space in most of the north and bodies are being shipped south to find more burial space.

I just heard an interview with an advocate for disabled people who is suing some government and/or hospital facilities (missed that part of the interview) because some states HERE in the US have established a guideline that puts the disabled at the back of the line for ventilators.

It's not that I don't understand prioritizing such things -- that' the concept of triage, a staple of medical practice -- but it's sobering to think that we already have the established hierarchy for doing it here. And it's cruel that it should work at the detriment of the most vulnerable.

I will ask then.....

Can you please help us out by posting how you got the welded wire you used to hold the nice arch shape?

You may have an oat allergy or intolerance. My kiddo used to be allergic to tomatoes.
And bananas. Yeah, strange, but a person can be allergic to many many things beyond what we typically think of as the "big" ones. Some people are allergic to cantaloupe and nothing else.
Check into it further because if regular gluten containing items like traditional breads don't bother you, then you have something different than a gluten issue. A friend of mine cannot eat oats either, but nothing else is a problem.
I won't go too far here, but there are tons and tons of sites out there to help people work through elimination diets (it's not as bad as it sounds) to help people identify what thier intolerances may be. Ones that don't show up on a typical allergy test.

Thank you very much!! This is extremely helpful and I never thought of this!

I also started having some issues with dairy maybe a year or two ago too when I never did before. I started taking probiotics occasionally (I’m bad about taking regularly) and that seemed to help it to where I can still eat some stuff.

But still can’t drink milk. Or at least not more than a couple sips. The probiotics helped with that because I couldn’t even dip a cookie in it for a bit. And cheese or any dairy really will majorly clog up my sinuses the next day (though I eat it anyway 🙈). Never had any issues before.

So I do wonder if I do have some some sort of food sensitivities or if maybe my immune system is breaking down or something? Cause I can’t eat fried foods or soda anymore either and some foods give me headaches too even if they don’t cause any digestive problems.

It’s been a bit of a shock because I never had any issues and used to be able to eat whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, then all of a sudden like 2 years ago my body started rebelling I guess. :/

Not many people do know about it. I was one of them up until a few years ago. It’s not very well advertised or well known. IMO they should be more upfront about it.
Unfortunately it's up to the allergic or intolerant to dig through endless books, endless sites, and a bazillion labels to be a detective and figure out what is safe.
Years ago labeling laws were put in place and they were supposed to make allergens more clearly marked, however it's not enforced properly and a lot of foods on the shelves still have sooooooooooo many hidden ingredients that can be lethal to kiddos like mine.

I can't breathe if I drink or eat cow's milk, but goat milk products are fine

Oh wow that sounds exhausting! I can’t believe they don’t enforce it better :(

That sounds delicious!! I’ve never had grits or that other popular one but it sounds good
I make something similar.
General package instructions are 4 parts water to 1 part cornmeal, and make like Cream of Wheat. Before starting I add eggs to the water, mix in cornmeal and maybe a little flaxseed too, then cook it up, eggs and all.
When it's done you don't really know the eggs are in there but it boosts the protein and richness. Kiddo loves it and can still add breakfasty type of topppings like fruit, brown sugar, and the like.

It might be a sensitivity to food preservatives.

Yeah, I think I have heard that before that some people that can’t have milk can have goat products fine and I did used to get goat milk yogurt from the grocery store which I really liked but then I got sick from that once too so then I got nervous. Might have just been a bad batch though or maybe it was the fruit or honey Iput in instead of the yogurt itself. Should try it again. I did like it.

Thankfully I’m not truly allergic to anything but some stuff will definitely make me pretty miserable for a while. :lau :th

I’m not sure what I would do if I was truly allergic to stuff. Must be terrifying as well as a pain finding safe foods.
