Thank you! That really helps. I do see how the hinges work. Thank you for taking the time to help us.

I’ve learned to carry benedryl with me at all times. It’s tricky eating out because you’re not always positive what’s in the food you are eating and you don’t find out until you have a reaction.

I’m so sorry :( :hugs

That would scare me so much.

I have some things I have to avoid because they’ll cause me stomach discomfort/pain but it’s really not restricting and even if it was, definitely not the same. Can’t imagine knowing something could kill me. :hugs

That’s why I avoid processed foods as much as possible.

Yeah, I try not to eat processed foods either but have been bad the past couple months.

I was mostly avoiding them for a while.

Although I’ve actually finally gone back to eating better lately. I’ve been eating soooo many vegetables. :lau

That is the thing that baffles me a bit......
If we have asymptomatic people wandering about.....shouldn't we ALL mask up?
My germs are mine and you can't have them.....

I know I know there aren't any masks.....but at least a covering of SOMETHING seems better than a covering of NOTHING.

Maybe I am looking at it to simply.....

There's a man in his 70s here who was tested, it came back positive but he has no symptoms 13 days after exposure (his daughter visited from Australia and infected him). Children, who generally (but not always) have mild or no symptoms, are also thought to be able to spread it round. That's why keeping your distance from anyone outside your immediate family is so important.

Thank you very much!! This is extremely helpful and I never thought of this!

I also started having some issues with dairy maybe a year or two ago too when I never did before. I started taking probiotics occasionally (I’m bad about taking regularly) and that seemed to help it to where I can still eat some stuff.

But still can’t drink milk. Or at least not more than a couple sips. The probiotics helped with that because I couldn’t even dip a cookie in it for a bit. And cheese or any dairy really will majorly clog up my sinuses the next day (though I eat it anyway 🙈). Never had any issues before.

So I do wonder if I do have some some sort of food sensitivities or if maybe my immune system is breaking down or something? Cause I can’t eat fried foods or soda anymore either and some foods give me headaches too even if they don’t cause any digestive problems.

It’s been a bit of a shock because I never had any issues and used to be able to eat whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, then all of a sudden like 2 years ago my body started rebelling I guess. :/
According to my kiddo's pediatric allergy specialist, a person can develop an allergy at any time in their life.
My mom, a major seafood lover, became allergic to shrip around 60 yro. And what you are describing with the upper respitory is typical dairy allergy symptoms. Not everyone has a severe allergy like my kiddo, most are milder. (Milder in comparison)
Initially I was thinking lactose intolerant, but sinus reaction shouts Dairy! There are many foods I can no longer have either, because of intolerance or inflammation issues, or both.
Check out elimination diets to help you figure out which foods/food groups you may be reacting to.

We haven't really been out. I did go to the feed store and bought a truckload of feed. I would have done it anyway because the store down the road that used to carry my feed sold. The new owners are carrying a local brand which is fine, but I'm old and want to stay with my standard feed. It's a ways away, so I decided to stock up some so I don't have to make any trips for awhile. I do worry because I sell my eggs. I could shut down, but what would I do with all of the eggs? I am hatching some, but everyone is laying right now. Handling the money, I don't know where it came from. The last I knew 8 people tested positive in my county but I haven't checked today. I do keep disinfecting wipes next to the change jar. Every time I touch the money, the change jar or the handle on the cooler, I wipe them. I hope it's enough.
