China still has lockdowns every so often.

There's still a chip shortage too. Everything seems to have a chip in it.

Also lots of people decided they didn't need the money from a second job in the family or retired or died. So good jobs opened up and people switched jobs...Lots of crummy job openings.
Oh yes, I guess it will be a long while before everything truly settles.

On a positive note, they delivered my new stove and fridge this morning. I purchased what they had. It's nice enough. Only the two of us now. I was concerned about what would happen if I waited. My stove and fridge was 20 yrs old. I didn't want to wait and have them quit on me. So everything turned out good.
Just aggravating still sometimes getting the things you need.

This thread has seemingly gone dead. Meanwhile my father and his fiancee caught covid. His fiance was fully vaxxed but my dad just had the j &j. Both tested negative 2 days ago and both are in their 60s. My dad only has one working lung and he was fine. Seems like covid isn't a big deal anymore. My father treated it like a flu. I remember these past two years and I was really worried my dad would die from it. It seems like the CDC and the news are even downplaying it. Almost like it wasn't a problem at all. I'm still angry and it makes me all the more upset that people are simply forgetting the tyranny put on us in a promise of safety

The first couple variants were deadly. I am still fatigued, but over 20 months I am getting better.
The thing has mutated so it's not as bad and they have Rx that seems to work if you get it soon enough.
If I could change one thing in my life, it would not get this. I feel like I have aged 20 yrs

@Molpet - glad that you are seeing improvement. Son and DIL visited two weeks ago. Both developed Covid after leaving. It's been 15 days since they were here so I think the Princess and I will not break with it. There's a possibility that we both had it in early May. Never tested because we thought it was a mild cold. We were in company with DD, SIL and GS who all broke with mild cases of Covid. It's still here in an apparently attenuated form. Hopefully all coming variants will continue to attenuate.

My father just had a very bad unproductive cough that kept him up at night. I'm so happy he's better now. I have been fortunate enough not to lose anyone to the virus. But everyone around me caught it except me. I'm either extremely lucky or I just have a good immune system. I've lost track of how many times I've been exposed to it. DH never caught it either. He just had a cold (but we did test him and it was negative)

I'm inviting anyone interested in joining a conversation in the private message area about gathering information like this (short or long versions):

Short version: Pine needle tea as a treatment for covid or vax damage due to preventing blood clots

Long version:
The spike protein, even without the virus, causes damage via inflammation of epithelial cells
https://www.salk.edu/news-release/t...protein-plays-additional-key-role-in-illness/

Inflammation of epithelial cells is the result of the changed metabolism and activation of platelets "manifested by their increased recruitment, adhesion, aggregation and secretion," https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8713818/

Shikimic acid exhibited a dose-dependent inhibitory effect on platelet aggregation induced in rabbits...." https://www.researchgate.net/public...Needles_and_Antiplatelet-aggregating_Activity

All edible pine needles yield shikimic acid via simple tea (buried in this article about how to make a commercial drug out of it) https://archive.boston.com/news/loc...pine_needles_yield_valuable_tamiflu_material/

More of my extended family has gotten it or gotten it again in the last couple of months than any similar time period since this began. Their symptoms are about the same as any of us who had it earlier: some barely noticing, some totally wiped out for ten days or so then began slow recovery. Only one was hospitalized - that was last fall.

In my immediate family, one more got it; a moderate case. None of us have gotten it twice (at least not with noticeable symptoms).

I think there are noticable more "unrelated" health issues in the extended family (shingles, new heart issues, etc) but it could be actually unrelated.
