It sounds like some stores are stopping reusable bags, putting distancing tape on their floors, and aren't allowing returns/exchanges because of "possible contamination." Are you kidding me? Not sure how much crazier this will get. I don't know how much these measures will help...hard to know.

Seen the tape at Target and 2 grocery stores now. I believe Target is no longer allowing reusable bags and one of my grocery stores as well. Heard the person in front of me at Target asking if they can still do returns (looks like they bought some furniture item) and the cashier said yes.

Our Sprouts has bagged everything in the bulk bins. I rarely purchased anything from tge bulk bins anyway. Now? No way!

Well... I use bulk bins for everything from spices to coffee and nuts. So far the only difference at my stores is a box of disposable gloves in the area.

One change I've seen is all the baked items from the bakery depts are pre-bagged or bagged and sealed now. Anything that you want individually like a pastry you need an employee to glove up and grab it for you.

There's no way I will buy or eat any leafy produce now that's not going to be cooked, and the bleach water rinse to make it safer doesn't appeal either.

This is part of the reason why I grow so many greens. I feel a lot safer eating those than the bagged produce that's constantly getting recalled for e-coli every other year.

Put me in that "always hungry" category. I don't know whether it's stress or boredom but eating is all I want to do.

I stress eat too so trying very hard to not just open every snack I stocked up on and sample everything. I've been buying a lot of grapes lately... I don't feel guilty snacking on those.

Sort of. It’s like 40s-50s, colder at night. Window would probably work!! I guess people never had heat mats before lol it just said for some of the seeds, like peppers and tomatoes, that love warmth, that they germinate better at warmer temperatures or whatever, but I guess it’s not really necessary haha

so probably should have started them sooner but oh well. I don’t think it will be too late aha I’m not sure what exactly I want to plant this year but definitely tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant, and I’ll see what else.

Slightly late, but it's still earlier than waiting for things to warm up enough for direct seeding. My bigger tomatoes are about 1' tall now and waiting out in the greenhouse for another month until it's warm enough to transplant. I don't use a heat mat but it would help with peppers and eggplant for sure.

Also one full page with all restaurants offering take out service.

That's actually a pretty fantastic idea. I've been finding open restaurants by searching for each restaurant's website or facebook page and hoping they'll have info posted there.

The question begs here - if due a refund and wait to file until the extended deadline, 1) will a relief check arrive before filing assuming last minute or later as theres no penalty if IRS owes you - you can take 3 years and still get your refund, and 2) will they complicate things based on what they sent you based on 2018 filing in a different tax status and all...

I think the best thing you could do is go to a reliable news source. But from what has been explained on the news is if you have not filed a return for 2019, then they will use your 2018 returns. They are giving people with more income, less of the stimulus. Hopeful this helps.

I'm sorry, that came off as flippant and mean, not my intention. I didn't feel that you were. I'm not a religious person, I do meditate evety day and lately it has been twice a day.

It's all good, @igorsMistress. We all have our strategies that bring us comfort and strength. That was what I was looking for. For some, it is cooking comfort food. For others, it is an extra glass of wine. Obviously, for a lot on this site, it's hatching chicks! Whatever works, eh?
