I'm in New Zealand, and we are in lockdown. No leaving the house unless it's essential. The only things still open are food stores and hospitals, basically only essential businesses.
There is nearly no food in the grocery stores, everyone is wearing masks, and it's quite scary honestly.
Yes, it is quite scary. Thankfully we have grocery stores and feed stores open. Grocery stores run out of milk, bread, bacon (most meats), eggs (we don't have to worry about that!) but have most other items. Paper goods, TP, Paper Towels, Clorox wipes, alcohol and Kleenex are almost impossible to find. We are wearing masks and gloves and only leave home every two weeks for food as well. Good luck, don't be scared, you'll be fine. :hugs

I think I'll wear this to the store next trip!

I would never do this with my hubby lol. Even when we were at the feed store today he couldn't stop touching things (the only 2 things I touched I was buying). This is the same man that puts his hands all over tabletops at a restaurant because he can't just keep them on his lap or gesture in the air.

Yet meanwhile many states are looking into early release of some high risk prisoners to reduce the chances that they'd catch it in the close confines of prison... where's the justice in that? :hmm
Duct tape his hands 😂😂😂

Not sure it was a good idea to do it all at once.... but I cut a lot of one yard pieces of quilt fabric, pre-washed them, then pressed them flat in anticipation for cutting and sewing.
I probably have enough to make 200+ masks now! 🥴🥴
And yep, my shoulder is asking me...."WHY??"

Guess who might be inviting some Bailey's into my cup tonight?

I just keep scolding him and slapping at the back of his hand... gosh I feel like his granny or something! It's sort of like how some little kids can't stop touching things (and others can't stop putting things in their mouths...)

He's at least gotten the hint that I don't want to touch his hands until we're home and he's washed them. He's gotten very good at helping me out of the car without hands lol... just offers me the crook of his arm instead.

I have not heard of a single state talking about releasing "high risk" offenders. I have read about states considering releasing some pre trial defendants, people who have not been convicted of anything. One should not die in jail because they cannot afford bail. And that does not even take into consideration the people who work in jails, the less prisoners the less risk for them. Hopefully when this is all said and done maybe we will improve, maybe we will not imprison more people than any other country, maybe we will find a way to provide healthcare to everyone.

I’m pretty sure they meant high risk as in high risk for catching the disease.
