Maybe we already are. The CDC is recommending masks because they suspect it may travel more than 6' in the air, call it what you like that is airborne,.

They dont know exactly how far this virus can travel through air. People who cough spread the virus with power. People who breath out normally cover a small area. If you are nearby and inhale the virus you have a good chance to get sick.

Not many of us are infected yet. About half the population gets sick after infection. Mainly the 30+ / 40+ .The children and young adults often don't get sick.

Best way to deal with this is to spread the infections over a long period as long as there is no medicine available. Because many people need hospital care for pneumonia (oxygen). Hospital’s cant take new patients when full/complete.

This is going to take much longer than some presidents say / hope.

(Just to make it clear, by high risk I was referring to folks who were at high risk of getting critically ill, not high risk prisoners such as convicted killers)

Not sure it was a good idea to do it all at once.... but I cut a lot of one yard pieces of quilt fabric, pre-washed them, then pressed them flat in anticipation for cutting and sewing.
I probably have enough to make 200+ masks now!

I have not heard of a single state talking about releasing "high risk" offenders. I have read about states considering releasing some pre trial defendants, people who have not been convicted of anything. One should not die in jail because they cannot afford bail. And that does not even take into consideration the people who work in jails, the less prisoners the less risk for them. Hopefully when this is all said and done maybe we will improve, maybe we will not imprison more people than any other country, maybe we will find a way to provide healthcare to everyone.

Here in Colorado they are talking about releasing the minor offenders like drug charges and such to reduce the load of incarcerated and reduce the spread that way.

There's this news thing that says don't go to the beach because the virus can go in the water and then if a wave bursts spray on you you can get it.

IMO that's reaching. Either the salt water would kill it or it would be so dilute that not enough would get to you. If there's any medical people here , care to comment?

I am not a medical person at all, but if salt water kills Covid-19, why haven't we been told to wash in salt water?

We don't have coffee filters, we have been using a Keurig for years! We do have a few boxes of Kleenex however!

Those might hurt.... I wouldn’t advise!

Too many unknowns, and not enough time to figure everything out. This time next year there will be certainty and fewer questions about this virus. until actual studies come out, there's no such thing as too careful!

It literally smells as if it has been eaten, digested and excreted. My mother wrapped it in aluminum foil, put it in an empty peanut butter jar, covered it with waxed paper and closed the jar. We were warned when my father was going to eat it.
