Been eating a lot more eggs myself since 1) we have them and 2) we normally go out for brunch and NO ONE is open for brunch take out, so I'm making the egg dishes.

I don't even have peanut butter in the house. Just finished eating a loaf of bread tonight that's been in the freezer since... December maybe?

Hope the garden inspires you as well!
I was trying not to eat them for a bit because we were running low from eating them so fast (both my dad and I) but now we have enough so I’ve been eating them again haha but I’m getting so sick of them. Like omelettes and fried lately but almost puke with scrambled sometimes lately. :lau I need to be more creative.

We love peanut butter and usually always have it. :lau well, never used to eat it much till lately when I haven’t felt like cooking 😂🙈

Lately I probably could eat a whole loaf or two in a week or less

Maybe a few days. Idk. Granted my dad eats it too but still. I eat a lot. At least 2 pieces a day but usually 4 at least.

And thanks! I hope so but last year I threw a bunch away.

But might go to the store to buy more veggies in the meantime.

If I bring in adult birds from another flock, I always quarantine for a month. I once had all 3 birds die I bought at a swap. I was really glad I didn't put them in with my flock.
I can see doing that with chickens gotten from a swap or wherever you dont, cant see how they're living and dont know who you're buying from

Hoping to get a call from the test soon! I'm in suspense waiting. I think they said they call whether it's negative or positive.

Tomorrow we are butchering several chickens. I pick a day to mentally prepare myself. Should do about 4, I think. I have 2 from breeding and 2 from someone else's.

I'm unsure how to sex my bantams. They're so old, but so tiny! It's so hard to tell with them.

We are just hanging out in quarantine getting texts from everyone because everyone is waiting for our test results.

My friend dropped off a single duck egg to us to see if we can hatch it. They have a massive pond you can swim in. I hope it hatches then I can go release it at their house!

Awesome!! I’m growing 2 kinds of bell peppers, cayenne, shishito, and this kind called Sweet Chocolate for peppers this year. :) also growing tons of other stuff 😂
You know chocolate peppers aren’t actually chocolate right? They’re just brown bell peppers lol.
Just don’t make the mistake I did a few years ago, I bought some unnamed peppers at Walmart and when they grew out they made these cute colourful sprays of red and orange tiny peppers, like the decorative ones you sometimes see at the florist that taste like nothing really.
Well, dumb ol me thought nothing that cute and small could be too bad, so I ate one.
Whole.
When I could see again and the screaming had stopped, I did a quick google search and discovered that my cute little peppers were actually habaneros

No, I am in SE MO. It is very humid here, lots of forest, no wide-open spaces for riding, not much public land, and ..... ticks! 😔The forest is beautiful, but moss grows everywhere, the trees are covered with it, so allergies are an issue year-round. And .... ticks! 😟 Yes, I did go to nationals as a spectator. I got to meet Bask Elect, and Molly even let me in to pet him! :love I think it was the highlight of my life!

It is hard when you're from wide open spaces to more urban or forested lands! I was raised in the high desert in San Diego County. Where me moved too reminded me of that, minus this real winter nonsense! This poor So Cal system is not amused with winters. I need warmth lol We have no ticks or fleas here thank God!
Oh I bet that was a real treat! My parents stood a Port Bask and Nazzer grandson. I had a Gai Parada grandaughter I showed for a few years. I was fortunate enough to ride Khemosabi a couple of times. What an amazing horse he was!

My beagle ate ALL of my habaneros the first week we had her. It didn't even phase her. She ate about 20 of them.

We are growing jalapenos in our garden. I can't wait to make fresh salsa.
