They recently discovered a test that is fairly accurate. Cranking out 33+ million of them, takes time. There are over 33 million people so that's only 1 test per person. In addition, up until a couple days ago, the law was that only federal labs could confirm a positive case. Trump got the law changed, so that state labs can run the tests, and confirm cases.

One of the local news channels was talking about there being about 26 tests available at each of the hospitals (14), and County health care facilities (10). While that doesn't seem like a lot, that's 624, in our county alone. There are 67 counties in this state alone. 10 thousand test kits are a drop in the bucket. They are sending more in, on a regular basis, so that figure will increase at a good, steady pace. In the meantime, I can understand why they are limiting them to people that really need them vs people that are iffy, or don't really need them. It won't be much longer, and there will be adequate supplies of the tests.
My hospital did their own testing and we're waiting for the go ahead to do them. This means more testing for everyone now that there aren't any regulations.

Drs can also see patients through Skype and FaceTime or other means to prevent backup in hospitals for people who don't have medical emergencies.

All the rain we have been getting has my allergies going insane. Runny/Stuffy nose, cough due to choking on the sinus drainage, and rather noisy breathing through my nose. People are giving me space though. Sometimes I cough just to get people to move. LOL
Oh man, if I ever have to go to town for something I'm going to try that! I hate crowds!

The other day my husband ran to the store and at some point sneezed or coughed due to allergies and people turned around and went down another isle.

In another state my mom saw some people wearing masks and gloves and I guess she coughed and same thing, they scurried away from her. I get the threat is real, but I just find it silly.

At family dinner I choked on my food because I laughed. I started coughing and no one knew I choked 😂 it made me laugh even harder.

Everyone just stared like this 😳

No one here is blind or dumb.

I don't feel like anyone here is blind or dumb and I certainly didn't make any such accusation. I was referring to myself because I feel like I'm being coerced into acting blind and dumb.

Expressing my opinion on something that I think is of vital importance is not accusing anyone else of anything and I'm sorry your idea of "support" requires not discussing material facts concerning Covid-19.

May we let the matter drop, please, and return to the original thread topic? I'm not just talking to you, IamRainey, or MROO -- just, everybody, please settle down. I don't think that anyone was accusing anyone else of anything, so please let it drop.
It's a thread to talk about the coronavirus and how it affects our families, and a thread to give support to those who are sick with it or know family members and friends who are.
And, with that, take care of yourselves and your loved ones, and stay safe. Best of luck and health to you all.

I just went my whole “time” without the modern conveniences. I found suitable items on Amazon that were in stock, and were supposed to be here days ago. Now they are expected in April. :he
People are preaching about bidets, but women need something more! I’m old enough to know about cloths, so I survived. But people that need to buy up feminine hygiene need to have surgery!

Yesterday I wrote of the overwhelming sadness I was feeling at the radical changes I'm seeing in the world around me, and the sorrow I felt for the loneliness and the pain I see in the people around me due to isolation and uncertainty. I feel much brighter and at peace today because of the unconquerable essence of the human spirit and so much joy I see around me. In Italy, people in quarantine, singing together from their balconies! Around the world, people producing music to share over the internet. Celebrities contributing millions of dollars to assist financially. Poor people volunteering their time to deliver groceries to the vulnerable. Journalists recording their own experiences of being infected and quarantined. So many people, helping their communities in so many ways! I tell you, it makes me proud, proud I say, to be a member of the human experiment. My tears are dried now and I have found my smile. I have found my joy, and it is all of you. God bless you all snd keep you safe and well. ((((Group hug!))))
