While I will try not to worry.....the news just revealed that the case in my county was in my city....a young man who worked at a rehab facility less than 1/2 mile from my home.

Yes I am worried but moving forward and in a thoughtful and deliberate manor.

I plan to do similar things like Cappy is.....take care of my family, grow extra veggies, build what needs building and hope things smooth out sooner rather than later.

Above all respect and care about others.

Bring to a boil and reduce heat and let them cook down all day to thicken up. Along with a roux, onions, garlic, bell pepper, celery, tasso, and smoked sausage. And seasonings served over rice with corn bread or French bread

Sounds delish. Good thing I love beans! Canned beans are convenient, but really can't compare in flavor and texture to beans you cook yourself.

I know this isn’t ideal and that it may not be possible for some people such as minors, people with certain medical conditions, nursing mothers etc., but not eating for 2 weeks can be an option, but will need tons of water to keep hydrated. At least for people like me who have some extra fat stores 🤣

Easy, everyone -- no one can see the future, and some people are just trying to be optimistic about this virus problem. Who knows; maybe it will be better in a few weeks. Maybe not. We can only wait and see, and hope for the best.
Take care, everyone, and I hope that all you chooks and your families will get through this okay.

I went almost that long with the flu way-back-when. It certainly wasn't by choice, that's just how the flu worked, that year. I don't recommend it as a weight loss plan, but hey, it worked for me!

Okay - immediate prayer request here. DD just got a call from her father. His wife is sick with what she thought was the flu. She is currently at an urgent care facility getting tested for Covid-19. DS spent the weekend with them a week ago. I feel almost guilty about it, but I've never prayed so fervently for someone to have the flu in my life. The other option scares the living daylights out of me!

EDIT - Just found out that it's NOT flu, but they "Don't know what it is." Yay. Not. And apparently, it takes 3-5 days to get the Covid-19 tests back, WHAT? I'm gonna be a basket case by then.

Oh definitely not as a weight loss thing, I would gain it all back in 1-3 days if I dare try that for weight loss. I meant more as a worst case scenario during this dilemma, no need to worry if you run out of food in the middle or something.
