For such a small state/ Commonwealth we have over 200 cases of the virus. That’s pretty high if you look at it per capita. Our terrific Governor has been very proactive (that’s how he normally operates). The Senior Centers closed last week before Trump had his first press conference. People here are still panic buying however they are working to curb that. I haven’t been off my property since last Wednesday afternoon but looking at the local news, most people are starting to take this seriously. I’m high risk because of my age and pre existing medical conditions like a number of our members, but I’m fine. I hope the few who continue to break the “social distancing” thing don’t get seriously ill. Take care and thank you for asking.
Yeah I'm hoping that people aren't breaking the social distancing but I know we can't expect everyone to follow what has been asked. There always has to be rule breakers... Only issue is those will be the people who spread it to others because they feel like they're too healthy to get sick.

That's why I'm choosing to stay home until I feel it's safe to leave. I will not put my family or anyone I know in the position to worry while I'm in the hospital or risk spreading it to others.

I don't think anyone on here is panicking. I see people reacting with a decent amount of caution and being diligent in their actions.
Frankly many come here to get away from the news/reports of this world wide issue, politics and misinformation that is so prevalent right now.

Maybe we should all go read Cappy's second post asking we keep politics out of this thread.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
How are you doing today? How's your state doing?

I am good. Hubby is finally taking this seriously. I made hand sanitizer yesterday and he now is taking a pocket sized bottle with him. He deals with the public all day.

We have enough animal feed for a month and I always have kept at least 2 months worth of human supplies in the house. I am low on canned tomatoes but we will be fine. I got our meds refilled so 3 months worth of those.

My state keeps seeing the increases like so many others. The second casualty in my state was 25 miles from here. So very sad for everyone suffering physically, mentally, financially right now.

I have a doctors appointment this afternoon for regular maintenance of my condition. I will keep it very short and to the point while there. If I don't go it will be another 6 months for an opening. They are very good about being proactive in that small office. I am sure I will be safe going.

I had to cancel all my appts, but my Drs did just see me a month ago while I was hospitalized in ICU so I should be fine. If not I can text them.

I'm glad you get to see yours to make sure that you're good with your condition. Maintenance is a good thing to do on your body in times like this.

I'm not sure where our state is now numbers wise, but I do know every day it keeps rising and rising. Honestly I hate that my husband is out there working 😒 I don't want him to catch anything because he's my rock. He's been very good though with cleaning his hands and wearing gloves plus other precautions.

I feel like a prisoner in my home once they said I can't go anywhere I wanted to go somewhere... Before that I didn't care.

According to our local news, Amazon is hiring drivers. Production in China has returned to almost normal. Grocery deliveries have gone way up too, so they need quite a few drivers. It's good people are staying home.
I saw the Amazon was going to be hiring 100,000 workers because they can't keep up with the demand.

I ordered something with prime delivery and it took more than two days for it to get here, which I was expecting. I ordered puzzles and games so that we're not always playing card games because those are starting to get boring to me.
