Rooa, I don't know for sure, but many of the grocery stores have been announcing that when they first open, it's seniors only, for at least an hour. It could be that the lines are waiting for the senior hour to be over.

Wow, that's an interesting idea! Is it to get high risk people in the store first after everything has been sanitized, to minimize their chance of infection?

I'm wondering if my kids will actually go back to school or if they'll start again in September.

I told my beagle last night that she's lucky because she doesn't have to worry about all this. She has toys, food, water, and a warm bed... Not a care in the world. And us humans can't even find TP or groceries at the store 😑 Some can't even find enough food to make meals for their families.
It is sad that people can't seem to buy just their fair share of items. If people kept say, a month's worth of supplies, they wouldn't need to panic. But many people live paycheck to paycheck and have only enough food for a couple of days. We saw that during Katrina.

Many vendors, and truckers are claiming they are still sending out a lot of product. Some of the truckers mentioned that they are delivering to the grocery chains distribution centers. As to how fast they get product out from the distribution centers, and to the stores, is up to the grocery chain. The last step is getting it stocked back on the shelves. Some stores are faster than others. I know most of our grocery stores here, get trucks in mostly on Wed. and Thurs., so they can get things out for the weekend.

Yes... I do a month supply every time I shop. Every month I do my once a month thing. Wish everyone did it because it makes your life less stressful when tragedy happens.

I'm noticing more and more lately that our two party system is ridiculous. It should be when you go into a voting booth they give you a list of what each candidate considers most important/priorities to get done, their record, and what they generally believe in on key issues, and who funded their campaign (to whom they are beholden).* Basically there should be resumes in every polling place. They could mention what party the person comes from, but that should be secondary. There is a lot of consensus amongst regular Americans on most issues. They try to divide us into teams so they can sneak terrible people into office, and people won't notice because they are on the 'correct' side. Does anybody really believe that there aren't good and bad people on both sides? Genuine and corrupt? Or people who are right about some things and wrong about others?

I don't mean that to be a political comment. I'm extremely frustrated by what I perceive to be a blatantly corrupt electoral process, both in the past and happening today.

Good for your Governor. Good for your state if they were able to see past party lines and vote for the person most suited for the job. (I don't know anything about your state or governor, sorry. I'm just going off your statement there.)

*That should be nobody but the voters, but right now it obviously hasn't been.

Sorry, I'm venting. I was very upset last night and still am.
It’s OK to vent, but stay off politics. It’s like that old saying: “Don’t discuss politics, sex or religion in polite company.”
