Regarding these two potential treatments that are being tested, somebody asked if they are oral but now I can't find the post that asked. On the news they said that one is, but the other is administered by IV. One woman also received an experimental vaccine (more may have, but they showed this woman because she was the first). Time will tell whether it provides protection or if the treatments work; more time will be needed to manufacture and distribute these in quantity. Social distancing and handwashing buys us that time. Hang in there, guys, we can do this. It's temporary. Things are improving in China, they will get better here too. ❤

Good morning everyone!
Here's this mornings totals from Colorado

277 cases
38 hospitalized
22 counties
2,952 people tested
2 deaths

I have off work today, so it's nice to be away from the hospital. My plan for today is a full wipe down of the house. I've been wiping things daily, but I want to dig in deeper today since I have the time. I'll put on some good old 70's pop and dance my way around the house. Really need a break from all this stress. I do need to go get chicken feed, and may pop into the grocery store to see how things look there. I really don't need much, but someone did mention chocolate:barnieand I don't have any. I hope you all are well this morning and staying safe.

We are up to 4 deaths now. 😢

so it now seems that the vast majority of people who are infected are asymptomatic, which is good news for them, but bad news for anyone trying to contain the spread of this without total lockdown:
"Professor Crisanti warned that that for every patient that shows symptoms for COVID-19 there were about 10 who don't. " https://news.sky.com/story/coronavi...halts-all-new-infections-after-trial-11959587
My ex's wife is down with "something nasty" that is "not flu," but the Covid 19 test has not come back, yet. She is, understandably, quarantined. Her shows no symptoms, so he "can't be sick." He has the constitution of a horse and NEVER shows symptoms. The idiot worked through salmonella. So ... he continues to work ... driving a freakin' commuter bus, for Heaven's sake! How can some people be so hard-headed - and dare I say - stoopid?!?

There are many pages in this thread this has been talked about a little bit, however there are much better threads elsewhere on the forum where this has been discussed in deeper details. I'd suggest doing a search. I did and found a wealth of information.

Would you mind either linking the best thread or giving a brief summary? I've been worried about this as well. I'm considering hatching more quail since they are such great and fast meat/egg birds, but I feel like if it comes to really needing them for food I also won't have anything to feed them. Same with my chickens. A lot of people are asking for eggs. Before all this I was just about to sell a bunch of pullets, because of the cost of their feed. Now I'm not sure I should. Same question about feed though.

How is your clinic handling it? My sister in law said hers is having clients drop their dogs off in the parking lot, they bring the dog in, do their exams or whatnot, and then put the dog back in the parking lot for pick up. Then they have to call the client with diagnosis or instructions.

:hugs My husband wanted to take me to Sweden for our anniversary this year (I wanted to stay home with the animals ). But that's completely off the table now. Maybe I'll just cook Swedish food for a week and count that as a trip.
I'm told that our Dollar Store still has Swedish Fish! :)

Welp, I was exposed and so was my hubby. His coworker tested positive. Now we are BOTH quarantined at home, just waiting for the symptoms to start. Thankfully, there are tests available. I'll be fine, but my hubby is older than I am and has lousy lungs.

We are in limbo in so many ways. We are between houses - having sold ours but not yet bought another and living with my mom. I am a teacher who was relocating a couple hundred miles north of here and just waiting for my contract to end in June. But now school is canceled for now and hiring is frozen. I had interviewed and was given a job offer, but I was supposed to sign the contract this week. Now I'm sharing a small house with my hubby, my mom, 2 adult sons, my older son's gf, a combined 7 dogs, 5 cats, 1 guinea pig, and 8 chickens. It's a zoo - literally. I am worried for my mom and hubby.

But at least I'm getting paid. I feel so badly for people who find themselves without work and no pay all of a sudden.

I wish I knew that everything is going to be ok....

I don't know what to do except to say that I hope with all my heart that you'll be OK. Both from the virus and in this time of anxiety. And I thank you from the bottom of my heart for keeping isolation so the virus doesn't go that much further.

Be strong and we'll be strong for you.
