Sounds too good to be true. 90 days out from production? And it’s oral?
Old enough to know that "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." The Princess calls me a pessimist. I prefer to be labeled a realist.

Agree. Pray for the best, prepare for the worst, be thankful any result in between.Old enough to know that "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." The Princess calls me a pessimist. I prefer to be labeled a realist.![]()

You must know my hubs, Those are literally the same words he uses. He is often all doom and gloom and I am an eternal optimist, or as he says, naive
He will stress himself out over what the weather will be like next winter, (he plows), but I think we should get thru this winter first.
I don’t think Covid-19 and avian IBV can be transferred from human to bird or vice versa.Does that also infer that we could pass it ,Covid-19 ,to our chickens??![]()
You are now officially on my prayer list! Hang in there. One way or another, it WILL be okay.Welp, I was exposed and so was my hubby. His coworker tested positive. Now we are BOTH quarantined at home, just waiting for the symptoms to start. Thankfully, there are tests available. I'll be fine, but my hubby is older than I am and has lousy lungs.
We are in limbo in so many ways. We are between houses - having sold ours but not yet bought another and living with my mom. I am a teacher who was relocating a couple hundred miles north of here and just waiting for my contract to end in June. But now school is canceled for now and hiring is frozen. I had interviewed and was given a job offer, but I was supposed to sign the contract this week. Now I'm sharing a small house with my hubby, my mom, 2 adult sons, my older son's gf, a combined 7 dogs, 5 cats, 1 guinea pig, and 8 chickens. It's a zoo - literally. I am worried for my mom and hubby.
But at least I'm getting paid. I feel so badly for people who find themselves without work and no pay all of a sudden.
I wish I knew that everything is going to be ok....
Definitely suspect! I can't imagine that ANY official correspondence in a crisis would use a funky font. It's hard to take a comic font seriously. You know what? Your guess is as good as mine. I can't tell, I clicked on one of the links because I thought it was wanting volunteers for a state emergency, Florida does that for hurricanes & relief efforts. I hate opportunistic slime balls that scam & try to scam. We shouldn't have to worry about scams! I'm hoping it's legit, because it probably went out to all Florida registered certified & licensed healthcare workers.

Completely agree. This is the time to get information from reputable people, ie: the experts. Too much wrong information is coming out from people who have no business talking about such things as if they know or understand them.On a newscast last night Anthony Fauci said there is a possibility of efficacy, but that it has not been proven. I tend to believe him over others.
I was the one crying about having not stocked up on chocolate. I'm still crying about that, but I do have cocoa powder so at least I can make brownies or other chocolate treats. Not the same, but well, you know.....desperate times call for desperate measures.......... I'll put on some good old 70's pop and dance my way around the house. Really need a break from all this stress. I do need to go get chicken feed, and may pop into the grocery store to see how things look there. I really don't need much, but someone did mention chocolateand I don't have any. I hope you all are well this morning and staying safe.

In that vein, let’s say the world does end: I, and you my fellow chicken keepers, want to keep our flocks, but what if we could no longer get commercial chicken food. How could we feed them? I’m in the bush, not a farm, so no access to grain but I do have plenty of meat, potatoes, apples and mountain ash berries. Thoughts?
