That’s what I do on a regular basis.

The Best Best thing you can do is wash your hands. Use friction as well as soap. Do not touch your face unless you have just washed your hands. Avoid people breathing on you. Years ago whenever I got on the elevator at work I'd hold my breath. Lucky for me I was only one stop up.

The organic/heirloom seed company I work through has recently had a HUGE influx of really big orders and is having trouble fulfilling them. It's been so many that their website is having trouble handling the sheer number of people on it. They're asking people to reach out by phone instead. They're also saying shipping orders is going to take extra long due to new sanitation policies.

Our local TSC has been pushing buy online pick up in store a lot.

Good morning everyone!
Here's this mornings totals from Colorado

277 cases
38 hospitalized
22 counties
2,952 people tested
2 deaths

I have off work today, so it's nice to be away from the hospital. My plan for today is a full wipe down of the house. I've been wiping things daily, but I want to dig in deeper today since I have the time. I'll put on some good old 70's pop and dance my way around the house. Really need a break from all this stress. I do need to go get chicken feed, and may pop into the grocery store to see how things look there. I really don't need much, but someone did mention chocolate:barnieand I don't have any. I hope you all are well this morning and staying safe.

If you have money, now is a great time to invest in the CHOCOLATE market!

Check out this article on how Israel had a vaccine for Covid-19 so quickly. http://www.migal.org.il/Migal.covid

Ah, Reuters is thankfully working hard to debunk the dangerous rumors:

From the US here, it went from no cases to a few to two deaths. They closed schools, bars, salons, restaurants, and supposedly our banks are next! Stores are cleaned out of rice, tomato sauce, anything you need! No toilet paper, paper towels, or napkins... they’re going to quarantine our state soon too..? Little spooky but life goes on.. trying to stay away to protect the many little ones and elders in our family. Stay safe y’all

@Rooapalooza -

I started here and browsed the BYC articles-
https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/categories/housing-feeding-your-flock.23/

Quick scan shows this thread has some ideas-
https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/cheap-diy-chicken-feed.1121529/

Couple of permaculture articles with ideas-
https://abundantpermaculture.com/how-to-feed-chickens-without-grain/

https://abundantpermaculture.com/i-cut-my-chicken-feed-bill-100/

On my other farm I let my chickens have full access to my cold compost heaps because
A. I'm lazy and preferred to let them do the turning, and B. they ate the worms and bugs found inside which really reduced the feed they ate.
Here I don't have a big pile anymore so just toss most scraps directly to them (besides raw potatoes or potato peels, and avocado skins.)

I've also seen here threads where people discussed breeding (growing??) meal worms and maggots for their birds.

And something I just thought of...for those of us with creeks, maybe casting a net in the creek for minnows?? I know my creek is full of minnows and snails, though I will have to do some checking to make sure the snails don't carry anything harmful.

Fun fact: H1N1 originated in the USA. Do you think people in China called it the Ameriflu? Lol.

Objectively, one reason could be that confidence in government leadership was a lot stronger around the H1N1 time. Didn't we also have a pandemic response team then? I know it was just dismantled last year (whoopsie) but I don't know when it was started.

I think too many people out there use hate to make people believe a lot of things-like lack of gov. leadership.

There are lots of people who have one symptom or a few and just because they don't have a fever they continue to pass their germs around.

People need to understand... Even if it's not Covid 19, you're still weakening people's immune systems by introducing your germs to them. That means these people will be at risk for getting Covid 19 because they won't be able to fight your germs and Covid 19.
Not everyone who appears to be sick IS sick. I have bad allergies that cause me to break out in hives. I have a runny nose, a sinus headache and a cough because I'm limiting my medication. Why? Because some jackass bought all of it and I can't get more so I've had to ask my dr for a prescription, that I'm still waiting for. I get attention because people think I'm sick. There are tons of people testing positive for Covid19 that have been completely asymptomatic.

Thankyou for posting this!

I've been following that map as well, but lately they have been lagging behind quite a bit. But then again I'm finding state sites to also be lagging too. I wish there was one good source, like the Johns Hopkins site, that also shows county by county in the US states.

The good sources are sometimes buried and buried in rif-raf. Good thing some take the time to look for the good sources . :thumbsup
