Since the subject of MREs came up please note: They are designed to plug you up a bit and one MRE contains more calories than an average, not so active person would need for an entire day. But on the upside: there is now pizza MREs. There are also vegetarian options as well. Yum!
Yes, very important to remember! On average they have 2200 calories EACH! Three of those a day for 2 weeks on end and you are heading to medical lol.

Only professional masks will help. Hospitals can’t use cotton masks. You have to make them with a special filter fabric.

Sorry to spoil you’re good intentions.
Some places here in the US are running out of supplies and the regulations have been relaxed to allow for the donation of home made masks. A plain cotton mask is better than no mask I would guess. Especially for personnel who may not be in direct contact with other people but doing paperwork or administrative tasks.

Ssoooo... Here is Boonie Stomper's ramble#1
Temps jumped to mid 70's today. It rained this morning. My cooler of food on the back stoop platform has nearly thawed. I have to rotate contents with some from the freezer. It's also quite breezy, I notice. I found a batch of small earthworms and grubs underneath the cooler after doing the food rotation.Goodies for the chookies!

Then paranoia...
If the coronavirus can float and be viable 3 hours in still air settling out up to 2 meters away from an infected, could it travel in the moist warm breeze outdoors from down the road to my backyard? Or an infexted mailman's cough through my screen door into me as he moves on delivering infected junkmail??? :barnie

Hey y'all. Not responding to anything currently being discussed here right now, just want to thank you all for being here and tell you all how much I appreciate you and how important you all are to me. Like others who have said so, you are my social life, and not just because of Covid-19. We live a pretty isolated life anyway. We have no near neighbors and don't socialize much except for church, which is now closed. I did freak out a bit when this first started, but I come here and hang out, and just knowing we are all in this together and everybody is coping in their own way is a comfort to me. My prayers are with you all, especially those who are most at risk. It's so nice to belong to a community I can still be a part of in spite of "social isolation!" Love one another, take care and stay well.
