I would love one of your hand made masks, I'd be all the rave on the senior bus. That is if any of them get brave enough to ride the bus again.

They disinfect it every day, and have everyone in their own seat and as far apart as possible.

In fact to go to Dollar Tree (that was out of everything the people wanted/needed) they used 3 buses to provide enough room to allow sufficient space between each other.

PS I'm a woman and I guess never learned to shake hands with friends, Romans, countrymen,
I just say hello, how are you, nice to see you, goodby, whatever fills the bill.

Don't have to worry about germs. I don't kiss or hug folks, unless it's someone I am deeply involved with long term.

MROO, have you considered petitioning your governor and whoever your local state legislator is? You are surely not the only person in your area who is facing this. They can come up with emergency legislation to allow you to qualify for unemployment.

They don't want a medical emergency to turn into a financial catastrophe. They have a responsibility to prevent that.

You're a citizen who's been paying taxes. You are entitled to expect services when you need them.

1st dog has died of coronavirus and a 2nd one has now been tested positive. 0.0 its rare but can happen

The dog did NOT die of corona, but DID tested positive for it. It was also declared virus free before passing away at 17 years old. That's two dogs in the WHOLE of china. Many thousands of dogs have been tested including dogs owned by humans that tested positive.

It's important to be clear so people don't do something dumb like put a strain on shelters by abandoning their dogs.

Only professional masks will help. Hospitals can’t use cotton masks. You have to make them with a special filter fabric.

Wrong, these cotton handmade masks are able to be sterilized and doctors used them in the good old days. Hospitals want them.

I know the hospitals especially ICU are always packed. When I got sepsis and pneumonia I had to stay in the ER trauma for 35 hours waiting for a room to open up. Then I was there for 3 days until I stabilized. Then the step down ICU was packed so I had to wait 2 more days to get into there.

I was literally about to run out of the ICU, it was awful for me. Not the nursing or anything at all. Just the meds and everything I was on was awful and painful.

My daughter says they are now hooking patients up to a single ventilator in pairs. They can rig together tubing that allows the machine to keep them both breathing. ...which is good. Hooray for ingenuity and adaptability! ...except that these patients are then sharing the same air directly into their lungs and if one has a fungus infection -- apparently that's part of the later stages -- they now both have the fungus infection.

They need the help that planning and equipping back in January when the WHO declared a pandemic might have provided.

Sounds fishy if the owner wouldn't allow an autopsy. The dog was 17... I'm sure it died from old age!

I’ve actually been wanting to adopt a young dog or puppy from a shelter but was kinda hoping it’d be cheap or free under these circumstances. But no such thing so far over here. I have the best dog ever but sometimes I wonder if he needs a buddy. He really got along great with our pet pig but unfortunately Hammy passed away.

17yo is pretty old for a dog, no? We have larger dogs so I'm not familiar with small dogs like Pomeranians but 17 seems like a full life span to me.

It is a full lifespan for that breed of dog. I had one growing up, he lived to be 14.
