You going? Let us know if you do
I work at the hospital, I don't have any symptoms and have not been to any of the counties that have a high number of cases, so I will not be tested. Heck I haven't left our little town in 4 weeks. I saw this coming well before it even reached the US and started to pick things up a little at a time to fill the holes I needed to.

Good golly, it took me quite awhile to catch up this morning. The latest in Massachusetts: over 600 confirmed cases and 5 deaths. There was an emergency room doctor on GMA this morning talking about what it's like in his hospital. Not too bad there. Good thing, he is not far from where I live. But he did mention that the people they were admitting had upper respiratory issues. Scary. My excursion out of the house yesterday helped my mental well being a lot. I was able to sleep really well. I hope to get to the store during the designated "senior citizen" hour (and a half) tomorrow and hopefully will find a few things I need to stay in my "bubble." There is snow in the forecast, so that may work to my advantage. So in defense of cruciferous and root vegetables. I love them all. As a matter of fact I have started my seedlings and one of the first things that popped up through the dirt is the endive. Yum. That along with cabbage, lettuce and radishes they all grow quickly and are quite tasty raw or prepared and mixed with other foods. Turnips are awesome: you can eat the greens and the roots. Last night I made a stuffed turkey breast with bread, spinach and cranberries. The bread was homemade and the "spinach" was actually turnip greens that I had frozen from last year's garden. Yummo! Also note: radish greens are edible and quite tasty in a salad. I lot of people have tasted some of these "not so main stream" vegetables but perhaps they weren't prepared well. Keep working on a garden plan, it's fun and who knows, you might be able to grow your own salad. :)
