I feel you.

My kiddo got MRSA when little. Doctors could not figure out how.
Emergency surgery, PICU, and the isolation ward is VERY sobering.

On another note...I've been doing BYC searches to learn about first time incubation hatching and can't seem to find one good thread or article so far. I'm going cross eyed from searching.

Anyone have a suggestion for a good incubator/hatching 101 for dummies?

That was luck! I can't find it either. I still have 6 rolls in my closet and a 20 pack unopened but with 5 people that might go quick.

We have about half a dozen rolls (I hope!). I figured that would give me time to source some more but my friends who have been stranded in France are evacuating now. They can't go back to their own home because they've rented it out. So my household of 3 is about to grow to 5 and I'd better find some toilet paper and a lot of other stuff too!

Thanks Meg I was able to get allergy medicine. I'm going to use sourdough instead of yeast to make bread so that's covered. Ironically, we asked our neighbor if they have any yeast they'd trade for eggs. As it turns out the wife thought she was ordering (2)18 packs of TP online but it was 2 cases so I have a line on TP now too How about you, anything I can send?

That's a good idea about the sourdough. I was thinking about trying to find a starter the other day. When I went to the store a couple weeks ago I did buy a dozen packets of yeast, though. So we'll be good for a while on the bread front !

I got the Brinsea small one with automatic features -- not the top of the line but the mid-priced one. It rotated the eggs and had a generous water reservoir I only had to keep topped up occasionally.

I found the directions somewhat frustrating but once I got it set up it did a great job and I got 5 out of 7 on one hatch and then 3 out of 3 on the next one as a complete novice.
