I’ve made gluten free cakes, muffins and pie crusts, just a new learning curve. I haven’t tried making gluten free bread because I have no need.I have.
Gluten free is just a whole different beast entirely.
I haven’t been in the store since this hit, but they are limiting how many people/ customers can be in the store at one time and have wipes for the carts, which is pretty standard for most stores in Massachusetts. And there’s no need for PPE in a grocery store. Just keeping it clean.
Not sure how you meant "just a new learning curve" and I don't intend to be contrary, but I've been at this for 15 years now. Long before good recipes were invented or easy to find mixes could be had on grocery store shelves, Whole Foods (and the like) or even online places like Amazon. It has taken years to be able to make and bake items that are on par with their regular wheat or gluteny counter parts.I’ve made gluten free cakes, muffins and pie crusts, just a new learning curve. I will not presume to know what every store is doing to handle this “crisis.” What I can say is that this specific store is well managed. Clearly you are not a fan of TJ’s that’s OK. Don’t shop there. I shop there for some of my groceries because the prices are good, they offer more sustainable seafood options than any other store I have found, have fewer food recalls and the staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. But maybe that’s just Massachusetts.Sarah, since most stores are out of sanitizer, they've been switching to using gloves at some stores. Some. Not everyone is being provided with that.

My husband refused to pick up the mail using a grocery bag without touching it. I am not going to touch it.Princess caught me spraying the mail (we received packages) with Lysol. She thinks that I am overreacting.![]()
