Yes then people put us all in the, just doing it as a fad, catagory.

Some people still don't realize some people have real problems with certain foods
That's what people think I do vegan for. I did see nasty chicken trucks that made me sick over meat, but I became allergic to everything but chicken and turkey. I throw up immediately after eating anything else. I can't even have dairy because it makes my stomach hurt.

There's no way I'm eating chicken or turkey from a store and I just started doing my own meat.

I actually really like being vegan regardless of what people say about it. I do the eating part of vegan not all the other stuff.

I just heard that travel to the US from Europe has been suspended except from Great Britain. This also includes all trade.
What have you experienced, and are you experiencing shortages in your area? Have you been sick, or do you have friends or family that are?
Italy has closed commerce except for pharmacies and food stores.

I live in southeast GA. Stores here are out of eggs, cheese, and toilet paper/paper towels. Everyone is in a panic and over buying. My county has 4 confirmed cases of novel covid-19. Idk any of them personally. I personally am ok on most fronts. I actually got my garden in today. I have plenty of meat. I have been trying to get situated to get a flock of about 9-10 chickens, but now I'm back pedaling some. I was going to build a big run and all, but now I'm going to build a mobile chicken tractor tomorrow. TSC is selling chicks so I can get the chicks there and brood them out until they are ready to go in the tractor. This covid-19 has not really changed any of my plans just expedited and modified them slightly.

Well, that's an important consideration I didn't know about because I don't depend on having a gluten-free diet.

Yeah I have a friend with celiac and it's depressing sending her recipes sometimes, because while it looks gluten free on the surface, she pointed out that cross contamination plus iffy ingredients is an issue. Like anything that has "caramel coloring" could possibly include gluten in it, unless it specifically says it does not.

Oh wow I didn’t realize that!

That must be so hard :(

Actually, believe it or not, most are not. The actual oats themselves are gluten free but most companies do not bother to prevent cross contamination from other gluten containing grains so they can’t label them as such.
Thats why any processing plant that does anything with nuts has to label their package that, even if the product they are making has no nuts in it. Guy I work with daughter if one of his kids makes a peanut butter sandwich wipes the knife off or just rinses it, then she makes a jelly only sandwich she goes in anaphylactic shock, they no longer ever have peanut butter in their house .
Another guy I work with he moves across the break room if someone is eating shrimp or shellfish, said just the smell/vapors can put him in anaphylactic shock.

That's one of the issues my daughter is facing at work. Some of the janitors, respiratory techs, the folks who collect blood, etc. are refusing to go into the ICU patient rooms. That means the nurses who should be providing specialize care for double and triple their case loads are having to do some of these less skilled functions too.

It's not that I can't understand why someone making low wages wouldn't want to put themselves at risk but none of the medical personnel want to be at risk either. And yet that's the job they trained for and signed on for and they're doing it in battle zone conditions.
I am very
I think that's a big part of it. First time I tried a brussel sprout (my father-in-law boiled some), I had to stop myself from instantly spitting it out. It was NASTY - bitter and pungent. But I kept seeing them in recipes, on tv cooking shows, so I decided... I'd buy some. I bought all of 3 sprouts. And... they weren't as terrible as I remembered? Even hubby didn't spit them out. Then I tried them roasted with bacon and it was like the heavens parted and angels began singing. Now I eat them roasted, pan fried, baked in a dip, raw in a slaw... lesson learned, NEVER boil brussel sprouts!

I go more than 4x and I can't see how you'd use a roll every 3 1/2 days. I mean that is an INSANE amount of paper, and I'm on septic. No way am I flushing that amount of stuff into the system. We've (2 people) still have only used up one roll since the beginning of March when we've been cooped up in here.

(Maybe those are unusually tiny rolls this this statistic?)
That's what I thought too! My husband and I go through that much in a week if we're out of tissues and I use TP to blow my nose with these stupid allergies. Otherwise, maybe a roll a week for 2 of us.

Oh wow that is terrifying!! :th

They thought it was a hoax in Louisiana too because Fox News and the guy in the White House that we're not supposed to discuss told them it was. So they held Mardi Gras events and now they're one of the hotbeds of new outbreaks.
left leaning Washington Post gave a certain presidential candidate four Pinocchio's for claiming in a political ad that a certain guy in the Whitehouse we are not supposed to discuss said it was a hoax, not true
