The Princess just got back from the grocery store. She didn't check on TP or paper towels as we have an adequate supply. Food was in good supply, but there were limits on some items. The store has a 65 or older check out line which she used. They didn't card her, but she said she was getting dirty looks. Folks, the woman is 76. She's still hot but what the heck. :lau

So everyone on disability are left out of it too because that barely get any money.
Oh, right. My DS who lives with me is in that boat although he also has a P-T job, he has no shifts scheduled "for the foreseeable future"
I don't think we'll be able to pay many bills now. But we do have eggs and garden.
:hit

Another question, you know...for that friend who's thinking about an incubator...

If she doesn't want to order CXs, which she has lots of experience with, but rather wants to use the excess roos for meat from home hatching, what is a good breed or cross she might find around her location?
What would be a good food or raising protocol for her own heritage breed/hybrid mix she's contemplating? She's assuming it would be different than for frankenbirds.

That's so sweet, hope my hubby still thinks so when I'm 76!! 🥰

Yikes! What kind of work do you do? Are you the main provider for your family? Difficult times are coming for so many people.
I work as a groomer for a vet hospital. We already aren't allowing clients in the building, but instead are going out to them to get their pets for appointments and taking them back out when they are ready to go home. Kind of a bummer last week and this week because its been raining non-stop it seems.
Since I groom, my job is considered non-essential but they told me they would try to keep from doing that as long as possible, but since we are corporate owned now, its just a matter of time.
They said I could draw unemployment, but there are several stores(Walmart, Krogers) looking for stocking help right now, so I could probably do that. If not, I do have some savings that would keep me afloat for a while. Everything is paid for except the car, and I have plenty of everything necessary since I am a semi-prepper.
What upsets me the most is the inconsideration, the irrationality of people, the hoarding of baby food, wipes, and diapers. There are other people with kids out there that need it too, but hey, as long as they have it all, they don't care if someone elses kid starves. Makes me sooo mad.
Anyway, little rant over. Im hoping it doesn't get as bad as they say it will, but Im not seeing anything to make me more optimistic.
