I picked up the lumber I needed from Home Depot yseterday.
They have cones and yellow tape out front. Cones were set 6' apart and were allowing one person in for each that came out.
Driving past Sprouts.....now THAT was scary. They sell mainly fresh produce and bulk bins of dry goods. There was not a single open parking space in the lot. I had never seen it so packed before. I don't plan to go in there for a looooong time after seeing that madness.

Our Sprouts has bagged everything in the bulk bins. I rarely purchased anything from tge bulk bins anyway. Now? No way!

Ok, I got my "It's ready" pick email from TSC (my only local feed store) and it's the same general pick up email. Nothing on how things might be done differently.
Not sure if I'll go today because there is still a lot of water across the driveway, but for sure by tomorrow. When I do go I'll report back how my store is doing things.

@twendt - wise on your part. What is happening here is about l.5 weeks behind NY, and you are most likely several weeks behind us. Even with social distancing the numbers are increasing albeit somewhat more slowly. It will be interesting to see NY numbers today.

So far I've never had food poisoning, eating that raw flour and raw eggs in the dough. Soooo yummy!

Mom raised all us on it from a young age. Now when I make cookies i must double the recipe to account for the inevitable shrinkage! LOL

They sell edible cookie dough now but I haven’t tried it yet. Doubt it tastes as good. But that is proof that cookie dough is the best!!! They even have cookie dough ice cream and those little chocolate covered cookie dough candies. Notice how they don’t have cookie flavored stuff? cookie dough is far superior.

I dare not stoop so low. Homemade is the best.

Lifelong bowl licker here, ok a little dough snitcher too. *sigh* A Big dough snitcher..... and I've never gotten sick from homemade dough.
Before having to go gluten free I absolutely delighted in cookie dough ice cream.

But yes! Raw cookie dough is so yummy! Why is it so much better than the actual cookies!?

RAW EGG CHUGGING IS MERELY AN ACQUIRED TASTE.
It can take only one egg to acquire it!

Years ago I tried the store bought raw cookie dough. Not so nice! It tasted of all the extra ingredients that made it last longer. Yuck!
Home made is the only way!

Oh, yeah! Boy did I blow it thinking was getting off easy buying the no-cook "edible" cookie dough for my DS (on sale + no kitchen work + no oven expense = good deal ???) NOPE.
He wouldn't eat it. I put all but 1 tub in the freezer. Tried the open one. I couldn't stand it either!
But the squirrels were happy with the rest of that tub.

Anyone want 3 tubs still frozen, in exchange for 3 rolls of T.P.???

We lived on Okinawa years ago, and it was necessary to rinse all produce we planned to eat uncooked (like lettuce) in a dish of bleach water. It all came out tasting like greens with bleach. This was because of growing conditions, and water rationing, which made ALL the water contaminated.
There's no way I will buy or eat any leafy produce now that's not going to be cooked, and the bleach water rinse to make it safer doesn't appeal either.

Instead of watching my state's case numbers, I'm been having to watch the counties around me because of living close to state lines.
It's been creeping closer and closer over the week and now it's in all the surrounding counties plus my own. *sigh*

The cookie dough is much better than the cookies because it is so moist Once the cookies are baked they become dry and the taste is just not there. That's why I don't eat cookies. If I have access to the cookies coming out of the oven I do like them hot.

In AZ the governor issued an executive order preventing cities and counties from issuing shelter in place orders. The whole state is under his control. He's a jackass. Socially distance yourself but go buy food from these open restaurants to keep the economy going. People are very divided about it.
I also just heard that this may be a regular event, just like the flu every year.
