It has had several names, depending on who was speaking.... 2019-nCoV... Wuhan Coronavirus... SARS-CoV-2... 2019 novel coronavirus... and then officially Covid-19... I'm sure there are more that I haven't seen.
It had spread to other countries, but the cases were connected to people from Wuhan or that had traveled there at that point. Pandemic in the making.... only thing that really matters now is how do we save lives & protect those that we love?
We were still unprepared. If this had happened during any other administration the results would have been the same. Not enough masks, ventilators, etc. So politics doesn't matter, the mess we're in and what we're going to do prevent it again does.Yes we did think we could be in this situation, we even used to have a pandemic response office in the white house. The truth is we knew in December and did nothing until March. 3 months of denial and sitting our hands is costing lives. Now could cost lives, is costing lives.
I doubt it. This administration sat on its hands for 3 months. This could not have come at a worse time for our country. If this had happened during any other administration the results would have been the same.
Administrators in the past sat on their hands for multiple terms and did nothing to prepare. Having lots of chiefs in charge with no resources to help the people isn't doing something. It's acting like you're doing something to make yourself look good. Not only is the government unprepared, but the people are the same. Hence the panic buying and hoarding. It could definitely have come at a worse time.I doubt it. This administration sat on its hands for 3 months. This could not have come at a worse time for our country.
Hence the panic buying and hoarding
Makes sense to me. I can confirm that we are using much less with 3 fewer people than normal at home.I just read an article about the TP issue that makes sense, the paper company Georgia Pacific estimates that when a family stays home they use 40% more TP because they are not using it at work or in public. With kids home from school, people home from work we are using more. The supply chain needs to adjust. That does not mean there are not selfish hoarders, but maybe not as many as some think.
