I wonder if the male-heavy skew is due to something physical or more of an attitude characteristic. I honestly don't mean that as a criticism of men. I just notice that the fellas in my family tend to "tough it out" longer than the women. If we encourage our brothers, dads, sons, etc., to contact their doctors earlier, it may help their survival rate. Again, its's not meant as criticism of menfolk. It's just an observation offering some hope for keeping y'all around longer!
Yeah, I never, hardly ever go to a doctor, and I have good health ins.
Few times I have been sick I just wait it out.
Had a bad infection in a finger I nicked processing turkeys this winter. Went to work anyway. Took quality supervisor at work (big tough retired Marine corp sergeant) to convince me to go to the ER.
First time I've been on antibiotics in my life.

@FortCluck I also forgot we are doing zucchini, summer squash, and cucumbers too along with possibly some melons. But the tomatoes and everything take forever to get ripe. 😭

I’m hoping to make a lot of pickles this year.
We have squash I think that's popping up right now. I did it in buckets. It's a bush one.

That’s awesome!! I wonder if I could start mine indoors? Or maybe I could plant it outside now and hope it doesn’t die 😂🙈

The problem here is usually not warm enough for summer veggies until May so when they take 2 or 3 months to ripen, it ends up being July or August 😭

But this year I think it might be warm enough to do it sooner. Like now. The one year I started extremely late. :lau :th

It rained for a solid week here. Soooo bizarre for SoCal!

Today was sunny and brilliant so we did a little AAA therapy. I thought you might like to see a bit of my Los Angeles.

This is from the area of Mulholland Highway in the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy a huge swath of undeveloped land that someone a generation ago was smart enough to start buying up to preserver from development.
