What breeds and at what age do you process?

My aunts were leghorn.....yeah she bought 100 straight run every spring.

Maybe process one or two and then decide if it's for y'all. If it isn't you can sell the rest.

That’s a good idea!!! Definitely going to do that!! I’m actually planning to give some to my brother anyway so if we don’t love them, they can eat them. I’m sure they’ll be more than happy to. They also have 3 dogs so I’m sure if nobody likes it, they’ll gladly feed it to the dogs and all the organs will of course be going to them too.

Nope not much at all. She got birds in early February and we started processing in June. They were tiny.

They were butchered at 16 weeks. They were jersey giant cross, orpington Cross, and Easter egger cross.

We let them rest for 5 days in the fridge before we freeze them.
