If you really feel you hate your life, then get your lazy a$$ up and think of some nice chicken things like hatching more chickens, building another coop, get involved in a certain breed, Improve the coop you have now. Chickens and their homes always need something . I'm sure you can find something to fix, big or small. Just get yourself involved in something. It might just mean your first step is a step outside. Build on that. If all else fails, get a pill.

Sorry in my case in past years people could see me as lazy and it's really depression. I am finally to the place (after 15 years) where past enjoyments are being current enjoyments.
Sigh, my husband thinks I am lazy but between depression, allergies, Lyme disease and obesity...I am just lucky to get up out of bed at all.

You are correct......... In my life, I was so busy building my castle, I didn't realize Id'e be walking down it's dark hallways all alone! I want to thank you friend, I never usually get this personal with anyone, but you "hit the nail on the head" with me. Thank you! Time for me to motivate, and do something different. PS, You probably saved my life... as pathetic as that sounded!

do what ever you want and never mind those useless pricks!!
 just a joke. I take our garbage to county landfill myself for free, only five minutes from where I work so not a big deal.
Took a load of construction debris there once have to pay for that. I didn't know they only take cash or check so had to drive back to town ATM and back again.
Now since this coronavirus stuff they have a big sign up says 'NO cash or checks, debit or credit ONLY'

Really Bummed. My horse needs her hooves trimmed. I had a farrier but he just calls on occasion to see if he can come Now. Then I hear no more. So I call these other guys and make an appointment and they say I have an appointment (text) , but they never ask for my address! And of course don't show up.

after 5 years of trimming my own horse (self taught) and friends horses., then went to this 5 day class where we actually had classroom then practiced on cadaver legs. Nice 5 day class.

I stopped trimming because in my late 50's , I just did not have the stamina to do someone's 5 horses or 3 horses .

I've had good and bad farriers. But I can always fix things I don't like. I just wish someone would call me back ! What a bunch of $hit.

So I spent this afternoon trimming my horse. I now have no stamina. I guess I got older. But got one hoof done. Tomorrow hopefully another. I have some crappy tools , and I ordered a rasp called "the beast" because I need a powerfull file to make up what I can't nip off.

I don't know if anyone understands this but this one teacher taught about how a hoof is built for sport and there's 4-5 different hardnesses in a hoof based on where a hoof needs hard or soft tissues.

I don't know if anyone remembers that Budweiser commercial (superbowl) where this guy raises the Budweiser horse as a baby , then the baby grows and is taken to the higher training. So this guy is in the city a few years later watching a parade and the horses pulling the Bud wagon pass by him and go around the corner. Then this horse comes galloping around the corner back to the guy he knew as he was growing up. (tear jerker)

Well LOL, a big horse like that can't gallop around a corner without slipping and falling. But this teacher I had was actually the one who made special rubber hoof coverings that would make him safe. (I love that commercial).
I love the bud commercials. Fake but they’re like mini movies. The horse would have plenty of grip if he’s barefoot, if he’s got shoes no bueno.

Have you ever tried to lie him down and trim? Once he’s down and relaxed, I find it pretty easy to do, I kneel by the foot and hold it on my knee, you can do a pretty good trim that way.
There’s utube vids on how to lie a horse, they’re pretty good but what they fail to point out is that the first time you do it you’re in for a bit of an argument! After that it’s way easier, he’ll trust you more and go right down. The only difference is when I do it I don’t tie the foot, I leave it looped up over the shoulder and hold it just in case they decide to blow up - not a good idea I think to have a grumpy three legged horse bouncing around!

"Dear depression, you robbed me of my essence. Taught me that I'm ugly with autopsies of my efforts."

Wish I could find another quote, something like...

The past is only how your brain wants you to remember it and the future is only what your brain is convincing you will happen, neither of which are true.

Your brain is tricking you and you've got to punch that sob in the mouth!

I've had severe depression for 10 years and I believe doing stuff truly helps your mental state.it releases endorphins the feel goods in your body.

Take dog grooming classes.
Very good idea. I took them when I was a teen because I got to do internships for a class. A kennel had a woman who taught classes for dog training and grooming. So since I did an internship at her kennel she considered that payment so I got to do both for free.
