Hmmm. Not sure I understand the need for drivers to wear masks.... they are in their vehicle mostly, by themselves. When I get a delivery, the package changes hands at two arms' lengths, and isn't that about how far we are supposed to stay apart? Two arms' lengths? Or am I missing something?
I agree. They're pretty safe doing deliveries so as long as they're not touching packages, then touching their face, there's really no reason for them to have to wear them (I'd assume they can if they want though). And most packages simply get left at the porch here, don't usually need to have face to face contact for it.
Because if they sneeze, cough or breathe, and are infected, droplets with virus in them. It goes everywhere and can get on any mail.
Which is why I've been leaving the mail in the box a couple of days, or leaving packages in the garage a few days (along with non perishable grocery items). I find it an easier way of dealing with possible contamination that doesn't require me to be bleaching food wrappers or anything ridiculous like that.
