Ah okay yeah that makes sense. We were horrible to them. Didn’t know about all the innocent people killed though. But I do know Columbus was horrible and also didn’t even actually discover America yet they still said he did haJust lots of killing of innocent people plus harming of innocent people. The civil war is huge in VA and there's so much history here but lots of innocent people were harmed. My kids have learned all about the civil war. It's so interesting how they walked so far and you can still walk and see what happened with memorials in each area.
Thankfully we learned about the Native Americans and holocaust and everything (although I think the holocaust might have been cause I took an elective on it? But maybe we really learned it too, idk) but never remember learning about those woman. Then again I don’t remember learning much about space in general but still. When we did it was always those men that walked the moon. When I was in school (a million years ago) they never taught us anything about Native Americans, nor the holocaust .
Then too the very important contribution three black women, who were quicker and smarter than the computers at the time, made in the space race. Check out the movie, "Hidden Figures." Everyone in the movie theater was saying "we didn't know that!" Made me wonder what else the government didn't want us to know.
Oh wow didn’t realize that but makes sense ahaCuriosity is good! Now follow up on it and learn some really fascinating truths! Most of the Pilgrims were self-righteous stinkers and many of the other passengers and crew aboard the Mayflower were rabble - rough sailors and conscripted crew. It's almost morbidly fascinating ... and pretty cool!
I did find this at least which was interesting. They always act like we were one big happy family/best friends and always talk about that dang dinner and them putting the fish under the corn and all this rainbow and puppy type stuff haha

Also I went to the pilgrim museum and they had some treaty or deed or something where we were like trying to buy a bunch of their land or something and totally screwed then over. At least they put that on display and didn’t hide it.
We did also at least learn about the Trail of Tears and the French & Indian War and a few things like that so some of the bad stuff but that’s really it so not much. And of course they still acted like in the Pilgrims time everything was perfect and dandy.
