Just lots of killing of innocent people plus harming of innocent people. The civil war is huge in VA and there's so much history here but lots of innocent people were harmed. My kids have learned all about the civil war. It's so interesting how they walked so far and you can still walk and see what happened with memorials in each area.
Ah okay yeah that makes sense. We were horrible to them. Didn’t know about all the innocent people killed though. But I do know Columbus was horrible and also didn’t even actually discover America yet they still said he did ha
When I was in school (a million years ago) they never taught us anything about Native Americans, nor the holocaust .

Then too the very important contribution three black women, who were quicker and smarter than the computers at the time, made in the space race. Check out the movie, "Hidden Figures." Everyone in the movie theater was saying "we didn't know that!" Made me wonder what else the government didn't want us to know.
Thankfully we learned about the Native Americans and holocaust and everything (although I think the holocaust might have been cause I took an elective on it? But maybe we really learned it too, idk) but never remember learning about those woman. Then again I don’t remember learning much about space in general but still. When we did it was always those men that walked the moon.
Curiosity is good! Now follow up on it and learn some really fascinating truths! Most of the Pilgrims were self-righteous stinkers and many of the other passengers and crew aboard the Mayflower were rabble - rough sailors and conscripted crew. It's almost morbidly fascinating ... and pretty cool!
Oh wow didn’t realize that but makes sense aha

I did find this at least which was interesting. They always act like we were one big happy family/best friends and always talk about that dang dinner and them putting the fish under the corn and all this rainbow and puppy type stuff haha

Also I went to the pilgrim museum and they had some treaty or deed or something where we were like trying to buy a bunch of their land or something and totally screwed then over. At least they put that on display and didn’t hide it.

We did also at least learn about the Trail of Tears and the French & Indian War and a few things like that so some of the bad stuff but that’s really it so not much. And of course they still acted like in the Pilgrims time everything was perfect and dandy.

If he discovered it then how were the Indians already there 🤦🏼‍♀️ love how we try to rewrite history, but it never adds up lol

The Native and Indigenous people of nearly every place "white man" has set foot upon have suffered greatly, and still do.

Love how they have pictures of the pilgrims eating with the Indians 😂 that part always made me laugh. That never happened 🤷🏼‍♀️
And the women and children didn't eat with them, either ... the feast was unplanned, not by invitation ... and the natives brought most of the food! Still, it WAS a Thanksgiving, so I guess history got at least THAT part of it right! :D

Are Asian blacks the ones TSC sells from Hoover's?
One thing that has always been a pet peeve of mine is the concept of asking a high price for a pet will insure its taken better care of.
I often wonder how many truly believe that or use it to justify the high price.
I can guarantee it isn't true.
We grew up without a lot of money so most of our pets were cheap or free and we always took good care of them.
I've sold puppies in the past and it showed me people spend what they have to spend and people with money to blow are more often the ones that don't take the best care of their pets and are always the ones that will throw them away the easiest.
Not saying it's always that way but I saw it very often. What someone pays has nothing to do with how they treat pets. There's more fortunate and less fortunate and good pet owners and not so good pet owners. Just because you have money doesn't mean you want to spend it on a pet and just because you don't have a lot of money doesn't mean you won't find a way.
Rant over.
Reminds me of this article I saw a while ago. Dug it up again. I think it’s a tad bit dramatic in parts but they make some good points.

Okay Folks ... It's time to think about the Friday Night Quarantine Movie choices.
What's your favorite "Feel Good Flick?" ... or maybe two ...
Mine is probably Tom Hanks' BIG and the old musical, White Christmas.
DD's is Secretariat.
That's harder for me to answer because I love big sweeping epics like Dances With Wolves or Braveheart.
Australia (with Hugh Lackman and Nicole Kidman) is actually very good and has historical content like DWW or BH.

Yeah We are always trying to rewrite history to make the United States look better... I don't know who we are trying to think we are fooling.

A lot of other countries do the same thing and never teach what really happened
