Ignorance and wrong terminology is 99% of the problem when talking about someone's 2nd amendment right. Yes it matters and it matters alot
Yes, but in this particular case, weapons were not appropriate, no matter what they're called. It's fools wielding guns "for show," especially in such a volatile situation, who make it hard for everyone else. A gun is a tool, not a toy ... and it should NEVER be a banner! You only carry it (and NEVER brandish it) if and unless you intend to use it. With tensions so high, we do NOT need another Kent State!

On another note - here's a bit of a directional change ... still "down," but with a lot of beauty. This would have been the time for my church and my town's annual St Mary Anne's Garden Market. It's a HUGE festival of color that totally takes over our 300+ year old church and grounds. It draws people from all over - one family comes from S Carolina every year, Another times their visit from Arizona so they can be here. This would have been our 23rd year ... but not this time. This slide show reflects what I SHOULD have been doing, this weekend. The pictures were taken during the past two Garden Markets by the Market's founder, and my dear friend, Diane Thompson. RIP, Diane, and know that we won't let this virus kill your dream. We'll be back, next year, bigger and better and beautiful!

Those aren't automatic weapons
Those are semi automatic weapons
It actually doesn't matter in the big picture. Intimidation is intimidation.

For the record I own several firearms. I have been trained and know how to use them properly. Walking around with one as a means to show my a** during an ignorant demonstration (as in ignorant because it's unhealthy to do during a pandemic that calls for social distance) is not the proper use of a firearm.

What a fabulous looking event!! Right up my alley and makes me a bit wistful too...the local annual garden market and show was also cancelled.
Thank you for sharing and brightening my day even though I'm stuck at home and can't go rose and garden shopping this year.
