I love reading! Fiction and cookbooks tend to be favorites.
Unfortunately, my library is still closed... gah! I want to go back! Browsing through the shelves is so relaxing....
Bringing home 15 pounds of books in my backpack is... less relaxing.

:lau :gig :lau I used to do that too and/or carry my textbooks around too lol

I have soooo many books. Way too many.

I don’t read them. 🙈

I've never worn a mask and I doubt I'll ever wear a mask. I go about my life as usual and don't lick any doorknobs at chinese restaurants or sneeze on people or let them sneeze on me or anything like that. I live in the country and go to town a few times a week but and don't know anyone who has this Co-Vid Chinese Virus.

I do know people who have had to close their restaurants and hair cutting places and have lost their employees and such. And I do know people who are not working for no good reason.

I guess I don't get all this nonsense.
All this nonsense = 89,000 deaths so far and more to come. I will pray that you and yours don't become one of those deaths. Please wear a mask and protect at least you and yours, if you can't wear it to protect other people.

A good friend of ours lost his brother. Still hoping his brothers family recovers.

It won't kill you to wear a dadgum mask for trips into stores it might kill you if you don't.

Exactly. I’m sorry they lost a family member. People don’t truly see the problem with not wearing them. People are more worried about their appearance or comfort than someone’s life. My heart hurts for that family and all families who have lost a loved one.

Your attitude tends to change when your state has in excess of 10,000 deaths and everyone knows someone impacted by the disease. I can only hope that you and yours remain unscathed.
So sad the disregard for others lives. Your tune tends to change when you’re directly impacted. I haven’t been impacted, but you bet I’m wearing a mask any time I’m near a stranger. I’m not risking anyone’s life especially my families.

Oh and @FortCluck I would also maybe try to start with topics he is interested in. It doesn’t necessarily have to be the school books right away but if he is really interested in any particular topic, you could see if there is a book or two on it (I bet there is). That might make it more fun for him. :)
He’s into cars like Lamborghini’s and Bugatti’s.
