FYI - I picked up my copy on Amazon for under $2 with $4 shipping. Well worth the price! That's less than the cost of a small popcorn at the movie theatre. Wow. Now THERE'S a Covid-Moment: Movie theatres? I remember them. I wonder if they'll even exist, after this. ... {{{ ... sigh ... }}}

Oh well, maybe a plus side will be the resurgence of the drive-in movie. Now THOSE would be worth resurrecting!

For those of you with human littles, Chuck E. Cheese's is on the verge of filing for bankruptcy. It's doubtful they will return after the lockdown.

We went there a few times as a kid and it was alright but those animatronic things creeped me out

We went once, for a birthday party. My kids were TERRIFIED and we never went back! I will, however, be hanging on to the little tokens they came home with ... we'll put 'em in their shadow boxes!

I think ours is gone, too. There's been no official word, but there's also been no activity, despite their neighbors opening up. I will ALWAYS have a soft spot for Boston Chicken though. Years ago, while teaching Campfire Cooking Skills at Cub Scout Day Camp, I was paid the ultimate compliment by a young boy who insisted on bringing his Mom back to my station at the end of the day. He asked politely for a piece of cornbread we''d just made, then excitedly told his mother, "You GOTTA try this Mom. Her cornbread's better than Boston Chicken's!"
It was a basic box mix with an egg, some milk, a cast iron dutch oven and a patrol's worth of Cubbies helping, but to that youngster, it was MAGIC. It's been ten years, and the thought still makes me smile ... and it's just one of the many reasons I still believe in Scouting!
