You didn’t think that was a possibility :th I’ve lost friends to people driving recklessly and yes, driving the speed you are driving is reckless. You’re lucky you don’t get caught in Massachusetts because they’ll lock you up for it and you will be heavily fined. Massachusetts is a commonwealth state and they’re harder on people, it doesn’t even matter if it’s your first time. Get caught by a state trooper and see how funny they think it is.

You’re going down a dangerous path and you’re going to kill someone or yourself. Maybe you don’t care if you die in a wreck, but I’m sure your family feels differently. If you were my kid I would take your keys away indefinitely until you proved you can be mature.

I know someone who killed my friends father... he knew him. He was speeding down the road. My friends father heard the car coming and threw his wife into the ditch. He was killed on impact... that kid is in jail for the rest of his life, he’s been there for 17 years so far. He was 18 when it happened. He killed his friends father... now he’s in jail thinking about it every day of his life.
Oh wow that’s so sad!! 😭😭

I definitely wouldn’t want to be responsible for something like that. I don’t think I could even live with myself if I did that and would probably just KMS or something. :th :hide

And I’m sure me going to jail or me dying in a crash would completely break/ruin everybody which I also don’t want to be responsible for. My brother’s friend’s brother’s wife (how’s that for a mouthful 😂🤣🙈) accidentally killed a jogger on a smaller local road here, you can’t even go fast on that road but it was on a narrow bridge and I think she wasn’t paying attention, and I think she’s now in jail.

I’m sure the fines would be insane here too!! I think you have to pay a certain amount for every mile over the speed limit.

It’s not that I think it’s funny or anything though I just.... I don’t know.

My parents don’t even know how fast I go or that I sometimes use the phone cause when I’m with them I don’t do any of that stuff.

I guess I just always hear of the single car accidents here... the teens or young adults who speed and/or use the phone and slam into a tree or into the guard rail or flip into the median, etc. and die or wind up in the hospital. Those are very common around here. There’s always accidents around our exit. Idk if they’re all those type but always accidents. So I guess I always hear those and think or assume that’s just what would happen to me too rather than the possibility of hitting someone else.

On a lighter note... here’s my new chick, Sookie. No idea what egg it came from but I’m sure her coloring is going to be incredible.

Think hatching chicks has been the only thing keeping my mind off everything in the world right now

No idea how I got a silver chick, but I’ll band it then see how it feathers out.
Good idea!! Genetics are weird haha

One of my bantam Birchen Cochins ended up being just black with no pattern but I did get an extra chick with the order so she might also be the extra chick and not even Birchen to begin with 😂🤣😂🙈 but they all looked the same as chicks so idk. One of them barely has any pattern so it’s possible the black one could have hatched without it too being hatchery birds. The others all have decent patterns though. The little cockerel is gorgeous. :love

Anyway, point being, genetics are weird 😂🤣

I’m just calling her black rather than birchen haha

I’m not sure yet if I will keep them separate and have a breeding group (will be integrating the Brabanters with the bigs) or if I will integrate them too and let the boys each take whichever girls they decide to :lau

Kinda curious what they’d look like with Jack haha

I have a new layer and put that egg in the incubator to see what it is. We have new layers and no clue who is laying at this point. We have only added about 3 new girls that are POL (Silkie, Porcelain D’uccle, and a bantam Brahma). I thought the Bantam Brahma was a cockerel until all 3 boys started fighting over her.

I am giving away my pullet leghorns to my friends neighbor. I didn’t want them, my husband did but now we have the new chicks to choose from.

All the light brahmas I got for $.50 at TSC because they were the wrong breed are all pullets. I think I have 3 of those maybe 2. I forget what I added into my large run.

We are increasing the run even more this weekend.

Oh wow that’s awesome!! Will be interesting to see what it is hahah

I love my Leghorn personally but they’re definitely not for everyone haha

Mine has tons of personality and spunk though. :D

I want Brahmas eventually but they’re so big and probably eat like horses lol

I have bantam brahmas they barely eat. The regular sized ones I haven’t seen them eat a ton yet but they’re just 12 weeks old. My broody bantam Brahma maybe weighs a lb. she’s all feathers.

I found a bantam Brahma chick on the coop floor today so I had to bring it inside. I’m not sure who’s it was, but now it’s okay. It was close to dying from being cold. It’s 70+ out but rainy. Hubs says they suck at being moms and DHS should take away their babies 😂
