But this isn’t the first time researchers have identified a blood type link. Preliminary results from a study of 2,173 coronavirus patients in China found that people with type O blood had a lower risk of contracting COVID-19, while people with type A and type AB faced a higher risk. In April, researchers from Columbia University also published preliminary data that came to similar conclusions: People with type O blood were less likely to test positive for COVID-19 and those with type A blood were 33% more likely to test positive for COVID-19
And I'm O+ with lung damage from the Navy. So does that likely mean the two balance each other out for me????(speaking theoretically here, of course)

There has been a great many subjects that a bunch of us other users have shared wisdom, freely for you (and others down the road)[pun intended]. Some of it has been hard learned by us all or a few. Some of it was vicariously earned. All shared in good faith. I & dare I say it - every other user - hope you don't learn the 'hard way' even after the wisdom was so graciously and diligently shared.
I do appreciate all the wisdom/help/advice or whatever, even if I don’t necessarily always follow it right away or seem like it :love 🙈

Think this is one of those things where I need to change ASAP and really stick to it because I’m sure things could happen insanely fast.

And I don’t want anything to happen.

And I’m sure even if I don’t hit anybody else, crashing into a guard rail or tree, sign, etc. even at a slow speed would mean certain death or at least injury?

That is an understatement.

In one of my college "friend circles" the saying, "Karma has no sense of humour." Was almost universally agreed upon.

That makes sense!!! Never know when something could happen. Some people do dumb things all their life and are “fine”, others do something once and they’re dead or whatever. I don’t want to be either of those people haha

Think I may have said this before but my mother always says “your first crash could be your last” and “People never say ‘I wish I was going faster’ When they crash.”

Course she doesn’t know quite how fast I’m going and she thinks I’m going “fast” when I’m going the speed limit but still. She’s not wrong. I need to start listening. To everyone.

That’s a good idea!! Although doesn’t it turn off if you hit the pedals or something? So that might not be good. But it’d at least be a start maybe.
Use a dark permanent marker to write "Cruise Control" or even on your steering wheel. If your wheel is dark, use paint. If you're worried about cosmetics, put a wrap on your wheel and write on IT. But however you do it, put it where you will see it. Every. Time. You. Drive.

I apologize for being a pest ... well, not completely, but somewhat. There's a reason for it.

Forty years ago, my best friend died in a car accident.

Valerie Puckett was wonderful ... bright, kind, beautiful, helpful, a straight A student and president of the college's student council. Val was a "one more minute" kind of girl - always doing "just one more thing" before rushing off to whatever came next. As a result, and as a rule, she was always two minutes late for wherever she was heading. Despite constant ribbing and reminders, she made up for busyness by being a lead-foot.

No one saw the accident. Val was on her way to school, alone, on a "lonely stretch of road." A stranger came up on the wreck after it was all over. The police and medics told us that she was going "a bit too fast" coming over a hill. She apparently lost control of her massive old car and smashed it into a tree. We were also told that she "likely" died on impact. No one will ever know, at least not in this life.

Val was just 19 years old, the only child of two only children. They never recovered from their grief, but her mother would say that it could have been worse, that she could have taken someone else's child with her.

Valerie was funny, thoughtful, and had the most amazingly blue eyes you've ever seen ... eyes that closed forever on an isolated stretch of a quiet backroad. Don't make anyone have to say the same about you. Please. Once is more than enough.

The antibody test is different. They have to draw blood for that. I wouldn't mind having that one either. The swab test is for the virus infection currently. That's the one I had.
Prayers & crossed fingers aimed directly at you!

I’m so sorry! :( :hugs

She sounds like she was amazing!!

And also, it’s kind of terrifying how similar she sounds to me in so many ways. Especially the always running late thing and just so many other things... it’s scary. It could almost be me if you just change a couple things :ep

And I definitely don’t want it to be.

As you share pictures I see different parts of your body art. I am now, always curious since my time in the Navy. As you treat your body like a special canvas, how many adorn "your canvas" now adays? A) total number?
B) those you are comfortable sharing with the world around you?
C) any with special stories you'd enjoy sharing.

I really enjoy hearing the stories behind folks choices what they adorn themselves with.....
I have 13 total

1) Tiger that’s a butterfly. My first ever. The tattoo artist was laughing at a girl getting a tat at the sane time as me, I was silent. No pain no gain. Got it the day I turned 18

2) Huge snake wrapped around tribal on my back. My second tattoo ever. Took 2 weeks to do it. I love snakes. They’re beautiful to me.

3) My oldest first and middle name

4) my youngest first and middle name

5) Life and death on the back on my neck in Chinese. I was there the day my dog was born and held her. She died the same way at 3 when she had a massive seizure. Curled in my arms.

6) Lips with skull and cross bone in it on my right wrist. The kiss of life and death. Shows me life is too short.

7) Heart on my left wrist. To tell me to live myself no matter what I think about myself.

8) And 1 on my calf below my knee. To represent the life I had playing basketball.

9) Butterfly with tribal on my left outer hip area. Just saw it and liked it.

10) Anchor on my left heel. To keep reminding myself to stay anchored no matter how rough life is. It needs to be touched up in a spot but it’s not a comfortable spot 😂

11) Love in cursive in the shape of a heart. To represent the first time I truly loved someone (he’s now my husband)

12) Koi on my ribs. For good luck and represents my sign thats Aquarius

13) I have a big thigh piece that’s tiger lilies and tribal... they are my favorite flower. I got it from an artist that worked out of his house.

These are the ones I can get pics of easily... I want to get a full sleeve on my right arm with some of my chickens, dogs, and my cat.

I got the 2 on my wrist and 2 on my heels all on the same day 😁 My tattoo artist was amazing they were the first tats I got in VA.
